Have you been watching C-span lately. They've learned the finest ways to name call others Like: Right wing tea party.

You know what would happen if those guys stood up and started name name calling each other with defined insulting words like some do on N4G?

The gavel would smack hard. Not only would they get forced off the floor they'd also lose their timeshare rights to talk on it. IE bubble system.

It's great to have an opinion...

Not true. about the bubble system. Some people get well said for deliberately saying immature things like:

"You're some kind of idiot if you think that'll happen"
Or
"look at the fanboys being hypocrites again"
Or
"lol @ fanboys acting like this is something to cheer about"
Or
"Obviously reading comprehension isnt your strong point."

People choose to hit the little...

This looks like a game I'd play. The combat is my style the cuts scenes are my style. It's just my type of game in general. The loading from area to area seems a tiny bit slow and graphics/animation aren't ultra tech but that's not what makes a good story or JRPG.

I just wish these where also English and didn't take so long to come to the west.

There is no Project Phoenix on this list.

Then don't support them if you don't like what you see. That's the point of supporting a kickstarter project.

Playing a fighting game with a touch pad isn't a new experience. Just Google the > Triax Turbo Touch 360 Super Nintendo SNES Controller.

When I was playing fighting games with these controllers I actually had a better experience with them. Where I'd get blisters on standard controllers these needed no pressure. Tapping moves where also mor...

Want to know how it feels?

Put your fingertips on a tiny high powered speaker that has a busted diaphragm. Then run sound effects through it. That's about as close an example I can give.

Interesting fact the new type of feedback used in these controllers was being discussed back when Sony was being sued for the rumble in the DS controllers

It used speaker type plates to transfer hi-fidelity sound directly to the fingers/hands without disrupting the motion control.

Unlike, current rumble controllers feedback had more fidelity but less power. If this is the same tech I mentioned above It'll be a different experience when playing games. You...

It's a good way to get start funding. Look at Project Phoenix and it's kickstarter move. They ask for $100,000 minimum and where funded over a million totaling about 1/4 the total backing.

Gamers should support developers who they want to succeed.

@DarkBlood

Fair enough, one of the major concerns holding back a portion of console/pc gamers going to Linux is the very essence of what you just stated.

PC gamers are accustomed to Windows OS and Console gamers are accustomed to closed systems that are more plug and play on their TVs. If this specific technology takes off then it may help bridge gaps some.

Thanks for responding.

Umm, what? ROFLAO.

Maybe I should've said "setup a multi-boot." :P

Simple solution, don't support the disruptive nature of the wars and lead by example. If we could all be civil towards each other and express rational views with a little extra added tact then we could agree to disagree without showing immaturity.

In his position hes in a lose lose position. Everyone knows that fire is hot and gas isn't cheap. No matter what he says everyone with bias wants to twist his words to add fuel to the fire.

Why wait for a Steam Machine, Just create a duel boot on your current PC then install the SteamOS and try it out. The OS is already out in the wild for authorized testers. You can still wait for the official launch which shouldn't be to far away.

Since SteamOS is made for PC we might be able to use PS4 controllers if these are to awkward. As you can see they're simply deserting keyboard presses to controller buttons for the most part in their diagrams.

It'd be cool if a 3rd party company created a hardware based usb adapter hookup that allows communication to PS4 and/or Xbox controllers without tying up the PC's bluetooth adapter.

It doesn't look very wireless.

EDIT NVM I missed this.>

"How will the beta controller differ from the one that’s for sale next year?"

"There are a couple important differences: the first 300 or so beta units won’t include a touch screen, and they won’t be wireless. Instead, they’ll have four buttons in place of the touch screen, and they’ll require a USB cable"

What do you mean "Well yeah where do you think all the DRM stuff came from."

Please enlighten me I don't understand the context of your message. Are you saying DRM came from Microsoft, Value or some other entity.

I think you should be saying something more along the lines of "Well yeah where do you think all the restrictive DRM policies came from." That would make more sense then *stuff* represented.

As for DRM: I reca...

@ExCest
This is technically possible with current system benchmarking and diagnostics testing.

1. Do a simple benchmark for the system effectively rating it's performance.
2. Make approximate settings based on benchmark performance.
3. Run application under optimized settings with diagnostic mode. If this fails lower benchmark ratings until successful or workaround is discovered.
4. Finalize optimization by creating a system performance app...

Why the insults you know it makes your argument look bad. This should help separate the OS market to some extent if it takes off.

The one key point of the custom Linux based OS is to clean house. Remove all the bloat that's being placed in Microsofts products for generalized application.

OS's are like shoes people put them on to wear. Some are built for running. Some are built for style while others are meant for sports such as basketball football and...

You could but then you wouldn't be fully assured hardware compatibility. When you buy an already customized system designed for the SteamOS it'll likely be plug and play from the start.

With off the street hardware there is a little more elbow grease needed to insure everything works. Sometimes its simply doing a little extra research. These things could go over the heads of your below average console gamers.

I'm interested in Asus. If you look at their product lineup they don't just make hardware and firmware with standard features. No no no, in some products they chuck the best coolness they can find into their products to attract high end customers with classy taste.

It's like an attractive person that dresses up for cos-play. They don't just dress the part. They create the custom costumes and even go over the top to act out the characters.

IMHO...
