Uncharted was the game for me. I'm literally going mental on thinking what Naughty Dog is going to accomplish on the PS4.
PS2>PS1>PS3
But not by too far. I enjoyed all of them for different reasons. Although I would say the PS1 had the most hits. But I still enjoyed MGS4, Uncharted, Killzone, etc. Uncharted is still by far my most favorite franchise this entire generation.

^Good points. But If you think about how dominant the PS2 was, the transition of PS2 players were a hard sell also since the Xbox 360 was already released.

Honestly, Price is what held the PS3 back from dominance. If they had just came out at $399, things would be a lot different this generation. Let's hope Sony is going to be price wise with the PS4.

In this case the Media really isn't to blame. If the game is crappy, the game is crappy. Technically sites like IGN aren't really allowed to post certain types of information before the game is released. They really can't flat out say "IT SUCKS, DON'T BUY IT WHEN IT RELEASES"
^Also to add that the current crop of consoles is also stagnating PC gaming. A mid range GPU can basically net 60fps+ maxed detail on most of the games from today to 3 years ago.
Hopefully once the new consoles come out, we'll see higher quality PC ports and of course higher quality PS4/XB720 games.
Oh well, still buying it either way. If it ends up being one of the last great PS3 games then I'm sure its going to be one hell of a send off.
Ugh... Eye bleeding amounts of black crush and high contrast doesn't make it look "better." The "Vanilla" screenshots look miles better.
^Don't know about you, but Crysis 3 Hunter's mode is actually pretty fun. And there aren't any other PC games that actually utilize 8 CPU threads as well as Crysis 3 does. For the first time in a long time, there's a measureable difference between gaming on an i5 vs an i7 with the i7 advantage of course.

Yes they do, beginning with Crysis 3. I've already hit the 2GB cap allocated on my GTX 680 in the beta. As texture quality and assets go up, so will the need for more VRAM. Although I would say FINALLY.
Also higher resolutions like 2560x1600 and Surround/Eyefinity will benefit from more VRAM.
