Agreed - on the part about publishers becoming greedy bastards. However I don't think that gamers will be forced to the could gaming. People still like to play their console and pc games right next to their consoles, power to the gamer, and not to mention that you'd need a high speed internet to achieve the best results for OnLive; and last time I checked, not everyone has access to one.

In terms of superhero games, Rocksteady has them beat down by their Arkham Asylum and Arkham City games.

The Naughty Dogs have done it again!

I like the fact that Naughty Dog are just modest guys who know their stuff very well. Some developers will go out there complaining about reasons like the PS3 just has limited I/O memory bandwidth and the such...or that they are their games are the best looking game on either platforms, then fail to deliver on this.

Some games are actually creative. Heavy Rain for instance teaches you how to make that origami figure while the game installs. And the cool thing is the time you finish is precisely the time the game finishes installing.

Damn...to even get at roughly half of that level would require me to invest quite a lot of time trophy hunting.

That's a good thing though. Next I would like to remove that 0% trophy progress from that game I started playing but hated it, and sold right away.

There should be no excuse for automatic trophy synchronizations. I don't know why it has to be a painful slow process when the Xbox 360 is able to do it with such ease and speed!

Rocksteady did a fantastic job with Arkham Asylum. At first I dismissed the game as being yet another generic super hero game. I didn't know how wrong I was until I played the demo then just HAD TO get the full version. In terms of super hero games, they raised the bar pretty high with Arkham Asylum!

From the looks of incoming reviews, it looks like they've upped their bar even higher with the work on Arkham City. If anyone can do an awesome super hero game, I say it&...

At the end of the year someone will make a list that says "2011 PS3 exclusives that you probably never played".

Let's hope Resistance 3 isn't on the list.

Such a pity. This is a good game. The fact that Gears of War 3 has sold millions already and this hasn't even gotten to half a million means that Sony needed to make other people aware of this game by ads, like they are doing with Uncharted 3.

It's expensive being a gamer in this economy, especially during this time of the year when lots of good games are coming out and not enough money is coming out of your pocket to match them.

Agreed. Currently in Richmond, B.C. Toronto is just too freaking far away!

Agreed - that and timed sections. Do this thing very quickly or the time runs out and you die...you're forced to play on a different pace and it just sucks.

Another is defending a certain area until the cavalry or backup arrives - with no indication of how much time is left for them to arrive only but an occasional "Almost there!"

Steam is amazing. The whole environment that Valve created is superb. For some reason EA's Origin seems to be trying too hard.

Their deals are just awesome. For example, as of this very moment you can buy their THQ Hit Collection that includes the following games:

-S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
-Titan Quest
-Titan Quest - Immortal Throne
-Company of Heroes
-Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
-Saints Row 2

119 minutes of cutscene is practically a 2 hour movie on its own. Add in the gameplay, and you've got a stellar experience.

Now why do we need an Uncharted movie again?

I enjoyed Heavy Rain! I liked playing the game because for once it was something fresh, different from this shooter filled genre. It had different play mechanics - not just running and shooting. Plus it was a good game to replay and make different decisions, then see the outcome - awarded with bonus trophies as well :)

Edit: Poisonous-Snake beat me to it.
