DRM, more DRM, hidden DRM in games then lying about it...but this...this is just plain disgusting.
Ubi keeps sinking to new depths.
Some devs do the opposite - promise expansion packs that feel like DLC. Even worse - sequels feel like DLC, not even expansion packs.
@Dark_Overlord
-I did! Several times to be precise, looking for boosting buddies. Most of them saw that it was going to take long and wasn't worth it. They would quit after like an hour of boosting! :(
Yes, but there's more to it. Imagine a game that's been owned/sold/bought multiple times and GameStop was the middle man. They make a lot of money off a single copy of the game multiple times while devs get the money only once.
I too first played Butcher Bay when it was bundled with Assault on Dark Athena all on one disc. In terms of games, these two were awesome, especially the first one (EFBB), where you're trying to break out of that planet prison Butcher Bay. The second one was cool as well.
Overall, I enjoy stealth games, and certainly enjoyed sneaking behind and stabbing drones' and guards' heads with shivs, screwdrivers etc. then silently pull the bodies into some dark corner. I a...
Isn't double fine the guys who made Brutal Legend? I enjoyed that game. Too bad it is kind of underrated.
Edit: It clearly says that Double Fine made Brutal Legend in the article. I should learn to read articles first.
Same here.
I'm waiting for the inevitable hypocritical troll articles about how "derp tha PSV didnt sell 30 mil at lunch like black ops so PSV is fail herp".
When you do, could you give us a short review of what you think of it (owning one, that is). Most of us have to wait for 9 agonizing days!
Again with the sales argument! Yes, it sold very well for a device that was entering the dedicated portable segment, especially considering the fact that Ninty had quite a huge stronghold in that area.
But the sales pitch doesn't justify the fact that the PSP did indeed have a rocky existence.
To begin with, I don't believe that Sony put quite a lot of focus in it. I believe this could have been caused by the short interval between both platforms'...
This is actually good news. There is no doubt that in terms of hardware quality, Sony always deliers. Their devices would always sell more or get more recognition if they were to be advertised more. I know of people who still don't know what the PS Move is.
An example is during the period in which Microsoft's Kinect was nearing launch. The media was flooded with Kinect adds. Here we are, less than 2 weeks away from the launch of the PS Vita and I've seen very fe...
When you look at the hardware packed into this device, the quality of games available for it and the amazing price of $249, it makes me wonder how some people keep comparing their smartphones into the same category as a DEDICATED piece of portable gaming hardware like the PS Vita.
Just because you can flick birds across the screen with your $500 iDevice doesn't mean that you're on par with the guy next to you playing Uncharted Golden Abyss on his Vita!
@PopCocks359
I wouldn't call it a norm, more like a short term trend. The casual market usually goes with what's popular today, and that causes a shift in the trend. They've discovered that their iPads can play simple games costing a mere fraction of what Nintendo's Wii was offering - the end result is they can take the fun with them wherever they go, and get more anytime, anywhere.
@LevelHead
I agree. People buy Nintendo prod...
That's precisely what you have your phone for - being a phone!
The Vita was created not to make phone calls on, or anything remotely related to making phone calls. Same reason applies to them smartphones - just because they can play games doesn't qualify them to be in the category of dedicated portable gaming devices.
That's the hardware aspect.
Unfortunately a similar trance is happening on the software aspect.
-Games are deliberately being dumbed down, made much easier so that the majority of the people can play them.
-Games being released unpolished and full of bugs (day 1 patches).
-Removing content from finished games to sell as DLC.
-Online passes just to access multiplayer (even if there is no dedicated server, just a P2...
This, especially combined with the other rumor about their next Xbox not being able to play used games, could really turn/piss off a lot of their user base.
(Steam) better service for $60, no, $50, nope, $10, naaah, but for just $0 a year.
Just to remind you how much you're getting ripped off by M$, Steam can do anything that Xbox Live can do, $60 cheaper, for $0.
^ No idea what you guys just said, but it sounds pretty darn cool
Lmfao.
Awww....troll ran out of bubblies.
