I agree with you, It's neat to be able to control things by voice when you're busy doing other things, but it's not really utilized for gaming much. Even in some games that I have that has kinect ability (dead rising 3) it doesn't really function as well as it should. It definitely needs some tweaks and more implementation in bigger multi-plat games. Otherwise it's pretty useless beyond navigation.
That's right focus on terminology rather than answering the question posed. The last 2 years has seen Sony, specifically PDN, suffer instability ABD a major data breach. Let's not just gloss over that. And now that PSN is a paid service you!: think they'd find better ways to combat these attacks. But they haven't. Don't get mad at the truth, get mad at Sony for taking their service and consumers lightly.
It wouldn't render the snipers useless. Think about how LMGs operate. They feel heavy and slower to ADS, that's how slow it should be for sniper rifles. Not so much as heavy but definitely that slow targeting wise.
I don't think that would solve the problem. Sure quickscoping sucks but snipers add dimension to the game.
I think what should be done is slow the ADS animation on sniper rifles. They already are the most powerful guns in the game, and in shooter games in general. So slowing the ADS would balance out gameplay.
Hmm great question, I wouldn't mind seeing a grown up Ellie as the lead character.
Gameplay wise, I didn't like the stiffness of the shooting. It needs more fluidity to it, so does the movement in general. The original game just played really stiff.
*I know this is a PS article*
I have to disagree with you Reaper. Saying the graphics leap is marginal between x360 > x1, is crazy to me.
While I haven't played a multi-gen game on both consoles so I can't offer a direct comparison of let's say a COD:AW on 360 to COD:AW on x1, I have been recently playing Darksiders 2 on the 360.
A game in the same genre I played for X1 was Ryse. Ryse makes a game like Darksiders look ridiculo...
Yes it's worth the upgrade. Better games are getting ready to come out on it. Those games will be PS4 exclusives or next-gen exclusives. If you have the free cash to upgrade why are you holding off?
It's the age we live in where graphics matter more than anything else. Uncharted 4 looks amazing even if it's downgraded from what was shown at e3. I'm sure it will be an amazing game to actually play too.
I'm glad that we are about to get into some real legit next-gen games that can validate the early adopters of the new consoles.
2015 will be a great year to be a gamer.
It would've been a mistake for me to get a wii u because it nor its games interest me.
I have a ps4 and xbox one. No wii u though. The only retail game I haven't played this year that interested me was Dragon Age.
IMO - In my opinion, there hasn't been a clear cut great game released this year. Everything has been mediocre or a current gen remaster.
It's been a down year for gaming IMO but I'd go with infamous second son.
It's not, yes there are diehard SF fans that are getting shafted on xbox one, but there are other options for fighting games. Mortal Kombat is coming out, EA UFC, Killer Instinct.
I fully expect after a couple iterations of SFV that it would come to the xbox one. Maybe when they release a turbo edition like ALWAYS
it makes sense, the last gen consoles would only hinder the game.
then buy it, it's just not my cup of tea
I agree with you blackout. While it's cool if people want to doubletap their wallet on one game, it's a disgusting practice in the industry, especially this year. It showed just how weak gaming has been this year. Two remake titles from companies that swore there was no nextgen rehash coming, are some of the top selling games on the new platforms.
I'm just not into rebuying the same game no matter how much more polished it is.
xbox live has titanfall for 9.99. I saw that and almost jumped at it again even though i have advanced warfare.
what game has come out in the patch-era that hasn't been riddled with bugs? Unisoft has slipped on quality control though that much is for sure.
I personally enjoyed Watch Dogs and Unity. My copy of unity ran pretty smooth almost all the time with little framerate drops.
It's just not the game for me. I was excited for it when it was announced but all it took me was that little time to see that i'm glad i passed on it. If you enjoy the game though, more power to you :).
can't take this article serious lol. Titanfall is arguably the year's best FPS, and the title makes it seem like the games listed are xbox one exclusives that bombed.
@Foehammer, you need more bubbles my man. The first year of this gen has been a resolution-fest and when that is no longer a problem maybe we can just focus on games again.
