After a solid day of taking in all of the reviews I can't say I'm surprised.
This game is the prime example of the issue with this generation of consoles. When the generation started the debate raged on and on about more power, better resolution and framerates, better graphics.
If all of that comes at the expense of gameplay then more games will suffer from that mindset.

Me personally, I still plan on picking it up as the story seems to be getting some good critique. I'm not sure if this game will hit the bargain bin any time soon so I'll probably get a used copy with 26% off in a couple weeks or...
The only problem with that is nobody will know for sure if the game is worth buying until they actually buy it and play it. There's no demo, so you're either going to blind buy it or trust a reviewer.

The criticism's are valid. I can understand if the game was being nitpicked to death like oh this texture looks too dark or something like that like what happened with Ryse. I mean people were literally photoshopping screens of Ryse just to make dissenting posts lol.
It honestly feels like if The Order isn't getting 10s for reviews some of these diehard PS4 players are going to kill themselves.

If I recall correctly, the whole point of MS offering their cloud servers was for developers to use them as they see fit for their game, like Respawn did with Titanfall. So there's no excuse as to why the PC and X1 version of The Division shouldn't have dedicated servers for those platforms.
Hey that's fine with me, now just make sure The X1 version can have dedicated servers using MS' massive cloud server base, and make sure you can play cross platform with PC now that that's possible with X1 and PC.
The dev said they focused on each version individually so let's not make any excuses as to why the X1 can't have dedicated servers.
I don't mind DLC as long as it wasn't locked out of the initial game. Crap like skins is optional, but the stunt Bungie pulled with Destiny is what's wrong with DLC. The code was already written into the game.
I say optimize the games for each console's strengths. I know devs want to play it safe across the board but let's not hold these consoles back anymore.
If PS4 has the power to push every game 1080p / 60 fps without issues..go for it.
Since the X1 has the stable networking with it's massive cloud server base..devs should use that for smoother online gaming and whatever DX12 will bring to the table.

My only gripe with my X1 is having to do a hard reset every couple days because the apps won't start.
I admit I was going to skip unity until I saw how dull the current gen game lineups were. I'm definitely skipping this one this year but will be ready for next year when they are supposed to be taking the franchise to Japan.
