wholeheartedly agree. AC Syndicate pumps new blood into the franchise. It is my hope though for future iterations to have longer story content and less collectibles. What ever happened to exploring caves and secret places? Those early AC games had so much promise.
I'm hyped for it because I love the lore of the series. They haven't let me down yet besides the botched ending.
the gameplay is still clunky as heck but this is the first fallout i'm actually enjoying and giving a sincere try.
but it's definitely still clinging on to old games and the old generation.
you won't be disappointed. it took some time to get familiar with the new speed and controls but it's pretty good. I wish the rifles fired faster since the game is faster now though.
it still looks great and plays even better.
dr3 was cool. it was the first one i played.
won't beat them in sales but where XB1 can still be a favorite is in the games. So far Sony has won the exclusive war to me, that needs to change.
legacy engrams are YEAR 1 exotics ONLY. Yes you may get a year 1 exotic that can be upgraded to year 2 via the blueprints. However, that weapon has to have a year 2 version. I got the year 1 hawkmoon and because there's a year 2 version, I was able to get that with legendary marks at the kiosk.
unity was a good game to me as well
Don't trust them. They tend to keep their word on console versions of the game. Still remember how f'd up they were when it released on the old gen.
but as the history of the game has shown, at some point there will be a regular daily story / nightfall, etc. that even vanilla players can play. Right now the focus is on The Taken King, just like it was when The Dark Below launched, and same when House of Wolves launched. Nobody said anything about it then.
I can see if this was the first time that expansions locked players out..but it's not. When the previous expansions dropped I was locked out of the nightfalls, strikes, and armor and guns until I purchased the expansions.
When HoW came out I didn't purchase it. I couldn't do the Dragan strikes nor get any of the equipment that would drop...Sooooo I bought HoW and within the first few Dragan strikes I got Hopscotch Pilgrim, a weapon that was exclusive to that strike playlist.
Moral of the story All of the base game is still playable in Destiny. The functionality however has evolved to the latest mechanics and expansion. So has the content. You want it? Buy TTK.
Really? I ran through TTK main missions with Gjally and it worked like a charm. You're not one hitting anyone but it's definitely a great weapon to use.
I'm in the:
Top 2% in crucible wins
Top 5% in super kills
Top 2% in Cabal Psion kills and they call me the invulnerable lol
My most dominant Exotic is the Multi-Tool with 4,385 kills.
I feel superbad lol, good stuff Bungie. Can't wait to kill the Taken King tomorrow.
I have some great games and preordered some other great games yet still play Destiny faithfully.
If repetition is an issue for you then you may have the wrong hobby.
I hated the washed out look of Unity. That was my only gripe. The interiors looked amazing but outside looked completely washed out.
The game was pretty cool. A Ryse 2 should be made and the combat should be vastly improved.
I've been grinding through Mad Max but the little I've played in MGSV TPP is pretty cool. I haven't played a MGS game in at least 10 years but I have noticed the repeat missions.
Not a huge problem but definitely not TW3.
I say it's much ado about nothing. The issue to me if anything is them deciding to release it the same day as Fallout...just a dumb decision yet it still sold an estimated 300k units in it's first week. I bet by the end of the year it will be a lot closer to 1 million units sold.
