Ironic that a remake (albeit of a cult classic) is more anticipated than the spiritual successor made by the original Dead Space team.
I think I speak for the entirety of humanity when I say this update announcement doubles as a reminder that this game still exists.
I'm stoked that you enjoyed it, but it was a step backwards from FF15 in terms of character control. The removal of the jump ability makes it feel like a downgrade from 15.
I like FF7, so I play FF7 on ps1.
While I highly enjoyed FF15, it's definitely a highly flawed game. Game design choices are baffling in some parts.
I think the most fair criticism to levy against modern FF games is that they don't have any soul remaining and they don't resemble the genre that made it popular in the first place.
It's fine. It's going to be a nonsensical and generic action game with a FF logo on the front of it. Aint worth spending $1000 for a console to play it. Not really down with supporting SE any more. Have fun if you want FF16, but the series is definitely on life support.
If co-op makes a game easier, then it's not really co-op. It's easy difficulty.
And a pathetic call to action to wishlist the game? Haha fuck off.
Superman doesn't really work in the modern era IMO. He's basically a god.
Sure, there are some DC continuities where he's awesome, but that doesn't translate well to gameplay, and we've seen how poorly movie versions can be.
It'll be a goldmine if someone ever creates a fun tech demo of something resembling Supes. An Animated Series game that isn't Superman 64 could be amazing. I'm just not holding my breath it'll ever ...
The irony is palpable. What did they think was going on over at Proletariat Games? A TPUSA convention?
You don't need to defend a rushed mediocre derivative title. If you like it, fair enough, have your fun, but the state it was released in was anti consumer. Defending it is kind of like telling game publishers that it's fine to release games in a broken state.
Either a) buy a shitty amazon rca to hdmi adapter that degrades the quality of your video signal, b) buy a framemeister for hundreds of dollars, or c) emulate.
The article is poorly written. One of the options they list is to use a CRT to play your old console. Wow. Also, they recommend buying an illegal emulation device preloaded with games....twice.
As an adult, and like most adults on this site (I hope), I don't "ship" make believe characters.
I might be alone in this, but I don't classify youtubers as mainstream media. They might inhabit the same space, but they don't have the perceived clout as "MSM" does.
We're truly in the end times if Capcom's only saving grace is remaking RE games.
Consider all of their other neglected properties. Clamoring for CV remake is silly. While you remember it fondly, it has a mere fraction of the recognizability that the mainline numbered games have, esp 4. From a publishing perspective, it would be a massive financial risk to remake due to uncertain sales figures.
How will Capcom keep the train going? Well, SF6 is com...
Some people want to actually own games.
This just in, modern developers attempting to clone Smash, can't make a better version of the game that's existed without competition for 30 years.
As crazy as it is to think, game publishers were just as concerned with their bottom lines in the 80s and 90s as they are now. Probably even more so due to relatively low sales numbers compared to today's market. You can literally thank capitalism for where gaming has always been. It was seen as a niche "nerdy boys" hobby for decades because companies had no idea what to classify video games as, so it got lumped in with the rest of the "boys toys" section.

The Guardian......gold standard of games journalism........
Gaming has never needed mainstream journalism. In fact, the gaming industry has intentionally shyed away from that kind of publicity. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft don't reach out to newspapers and the 6 oclock news to get their information out there. It's been mainstream journalism that has tried to "how do you do fellow kids" the world with their out of touch apprehensions on gaming that fit the...
I'm not sure how we beat these bosses as kids. IG88 is a nightmare and I only beat him by cheesing. No clue how I beat Boba Fett and Xizor.
270 human days. Meaning that one person takes 270 days to do one car. A team of devs could do an entire fleet in the same amount of time.
