With a name like Everwild, one can expect it to be a live service title with grindy quests and a painfully simplistic crafting system.
It's about 4-5 hours a day, every day since launch.
Edits: bad math initially.
In negotiations, you don't open with what you're comfortable taking. You open high, and negotiate down to the middle.
Fuego take. Here's another: why would you want to continue to work for an abusive company where you're forced to shit out terrible games?
Hahaha coup d'etat? What coup d'etat?
Sounds like someone's been drinking the idiotic right wing kool aid.
Tell me what you think happened in 2014.
It's 2023 and people are still talking about QoL changes on a modern console.
They're waiting another year, then they'll unveil the slim model, which will have its own issues, and the merry-go-round goes round and round again.
Take a look at the libraries of your favorite consoles. I guarantee you, other than a handful of fighting games better suited on the Dreamcast, PS2 still has the best, biggest, and most varied library. Literally something for everyone. JRPGs on PS1 and PS2 really were special.
Edit: the article basically just lists every single JRPG on PS2 lol
Literally no one is playing this game. Avengers hype died immediately after Endgame. And there's nothing CD can do to reinvigorate people's desire to play as Diet Coke Iron Man.
GaaS are cancer and shouldn't be given this much credence from games journalists.
Considering the non stop bombardment of WD Black 1TB m.2 drive advertisements, this is the least of Forspoken's woes.
"Tons of never before seen maps, models, PSDs & VMFs, everything," writes TF2 content creator Richter Overtime(opens in new tab). "Once the community finishes digesting this (61GB), there will be nothing else to talk about. This is the last official TF2 content drop you or I will ever see."
Oof. They didn't have to do us like that.
On one hand, the Pokemon franchise is doing exactly what every Nintendo franchise does: roughly the same thing every game. It's why Nintendo IPs have such strong public awareness. You know Mario is the jumpy one, Metroid is the spooky maze one, and Pokemon is the dog fighting one.
Pokemon unfortunately is the one that has the weakest mechanics and most outdated presentation. It's like a challenge GF takes on every development cycle to see if they can make their next...
Lol a world building problem? At this point the Pokemon franchise is all but transparently creatively bankrupt. It's only ever been about separating children from their parents cash. Gotta catch em all being one of the greatest marketing slogans of all time.
The games you listed are basically all PS3 games. A lot has changed in the online MP space since 2009. But I'm still with you. Can't picture myself getting sucked back into a competitive game. It's like running on a treadmill except a treadmill would actually be more enjoyable.
The difference between Forspoken and Cyberpunk was that people were actually excited for Cyberpunk and still bought it despite it being buggy. I don't think anyone considers it a bad game.
People have been in denial about ubisoft for so long. It's bad enough that people think Assassin's Creed is a good fran chise that they buy it by the millions every single year, but their games are literally exactly the same. Kudos to the original Farcry and Prince of Persia teams for doing something innovative once upon a time, but that's the last time Ubi had a real hit. They nail 1 aspect of a game loop, and then shove a bunch of bullshit and a checklist of copy and paste quest...
The only thing that would really cap this entire game's pre-release saga would be if it was a buggy disaster like Cyberpunk. Ahhhh mastapeece.
32gb of RAM is like $100. It's 2023. Upgrade your PC.
Consoles aren't running the game at a native 4K.
Review embargoes are never an explicitly good sign. It's easy to shit on SE, but the reality is they don't make bad games, they just make very average quality games. I expect this game to have middling sales and a small but dedicated player base a la Anthem.
