my copy arrived yesterday and i had an hour on it last night,
the graphics are stunning on a large hdtv and the musical score is superb.
The controls are very responsive as long as you control the dragon gently and don't jerk/snatch at the controls. It's a very serene game to play, however all hell breaks loose if you land with total carnage.

I think you will find World of Warcraft or Counter Strike Source are the "biggest online games" so no period required.
Online play isn't just specific to consoles and is vastly superior on a pc "period"

i played through the pc demo, it's not quite up to cod2 standards but it's a different take on things and it looks promising.
the parachute drops certainly add a new dimension and it will be interesting to see how the multiplayer side of the game plays
on paper that sure sounds a stunning fps lineup, mine will be cod4 and Haze as i am a ps3 owner but every gamer on this planet should realise Halo 3 will deliver
not sure about UT3 yet but time will tell
nothing wrong with your comments mate but as the other games aren't out yet in any form demo/beta/retail you can't make an assumption that cod4 will be better.
all the games you have listed are must buys for me as all of them judging from what i have seen look stunning

couldn't agree more mate, i admit i wasn't to happy when infinity ward let someone else develop cod3 and be console exclusive. i am a big cod2 pc fan by the way and played in serious european ladders (clanbase)
cod4 looks amazing and i will be getting it for my ps3 and not bothering with the pc version, i seem to be playing all my online gaming via the ps3 now and increasingly find me going on my pc less and less
another game thats had good and bad reviews, this proves to me it's all subjective opinion and each to there own tastes.
i do like the looks of this so may well get it for my pc

just looking at the video and seeing someone actually play the game highlights just how epic and on a grand scale it looks. the dragon flying over the stunning landscape looks incredible, watching the Dragon glide with it's huge wingspan is stunning i can't wait for my US copy to turn up.
It's also obvious (to me at least) to control the dragon you have too do it gradually with no sudden jerky movement, it looks like a game you can play and just relax, very serene.

the only difference i can see is about 40 seconds in the ps3 version has some people walking past where the 360 version doesn't(this may well just be down to timing) then about 1min 30 sec in the ground has slightly more detail in the ps3 version. both however look great and both look like they are running with the same framerate.

2.2 - Open Coms
We tried this in the beta... it didn't work out very well. People with bad mic's would cause feedback and there would be these nasty ringing loops making all communication inoperable. Plus, you don't have to hear people breathing the whole game
IMO it should be an option for the player, i use a Socom USB headset and my comms are always perfect, i agree some are not with the problems you list, however thats why Sony should release an official Blu Tooth hea...

couldn't agree more, the only niggle i have is having to press L3 to chat a right pain if your in the middle of a dogfight and trying to chat at the same time.
open comms will hopefully be added in a future update, this title will just get better and better as it's a title that can have content added to it indefinitely.

everyone has an opinion which they are entitled to but saying motorstorm is a poor title loses you all credibility and is an insane comment for any gamer.
I myself didn't like Motorstorm much as i like track racers but gave it a good go, however i don't think it's a poor title it's a stunning title in every department.
