If Killzone 2 had open, destructable environments like Crysis 1 had it would look far worse.

http://i31.photobucket.com/...

Real life? No, that is Crysis.

With an open environment.

Killzone 2 doesn't come close even with its linear environment.

@the real killer

How did Killzone 2 beat it graphically? It has smaller env...

Pennywise, have you even played Crysis?

The whole point of Crysis was that the gameplay was up to you.

You're used to linear scripted shooter games, where they force the gameplay down your throat.

Crysis gave you this open world, and all these tools and let you play the game however you want.

Crysis was pirated? Ya, a lot of the pirated versions were just to see if they could run the game or not. Crysis sold very well.

If it d...

lmao "Artistic design"

They are going for a realistic look.

Should I say GT5 is going to be a garbage game because it has a boring arty style?

The pacing of Crysis is up to the player. It is a sandbox style game. Not a linear game like Killzone 2.

And Killzone 2 isn't even close to Crysis 1. Like not only does Crysis look much better, but it has a far larger field of view, more dynamic destructability and physics and a far larger ...

They are the worst. It is a cycle. 360 fans used to be terrible a few years ago

Nowadays, PS3 fanboys are the worst.

Wii fanboys are still learning reading and writing at their daycare

Why would anyone buy a Valve game on the PS3 or 360?

Just get it for the PC.

PS3 fanbase hates on Valve yet they have no idea how much they have influenced the industry.

I'm not as hyped up for this game. I absolutely loved Crysis 1, but there were idiots, mostly console oriented gamers, who said it was generic. The gameplay isn't generic. The gameplay is sandbox style. The gameplay style depends solely on the player. The problem is, was that so many new gen FPS players are used to scripted scenes where you just trudge along mindlessely. Crysis you had to plan out attacks, experiment etc..

I can tell they are making it more linear for the crowd t...

This gen is the gen for overhyping games.

I don't know how console only gamers could survive without playing actual multiplayer games like Operation Flashpoint, Team Fortress 2, Quake, Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 1942, Unreal Tournament, Counter Strike etc..

FPS gaming on consoles is so under developed.

Like I said, Steam doesn't release sales. You can't really know how much a game sold through Digital Distribution.

And how many games get like 10 million sales on ONE platform on the 360 or PC?

Not many. More games sell like mad on PC than they do on consoles. namely MMOs and RTS games. Warcraft has 12 million ACTIVE subscribers. That is more money than IW can even dream of. I said it before, right now consoles are the main focus, mainly because of the Wii and consol...

Steam doesn't release sales figures. ALl those figures you mentioned were retail only.

Crysis Ultimate Edition was like $15 on sale for the Steam holiday sale. It was on the topseller for a long time. Same with Direct2Drive.

These games sell well. Console sales are like fools gold. Very few games get sales like that. A lot of studios try, fail, and close down.

On PC, you get good to great sales, but are always in profit and never really have to worry. ...

Why PC gaming rules.

1) PCs are mandatory in your household. You can build one for for like $600, and it can run Crysis well. It can run all the other games very well.

Don't believe me? Here you go:

What are you talking about? Steam has had a 200% growth last year. You're so right! PC GAMING IS SHRINKING!

Listen, most people need to understand barely any PC gamers buys from stores. I mean why would you? The deals on Steam are amazing. And I'll ask you this, how many PC oriented devs and publishers have closed down or gone bankrupt? Look at the console oriented devs. Closing downs and layoffs. If a game doesn't sell well on PC, it doesn't affect them as much because they don'...

No they didn't

JRPGs and WRPGs were much stronger before this gen.

This gen, both are weak. The only reason people think WRPGs are strong this gen are because they finally hit consoles. How many WRPGs were on console before this gen? KOTOR series was really the only good one.

Everyone says Bioware is going through their best time ever. No they aren't. Console gamers need to stop being such freaking retards. Mass Effect 2 comes no where near close to Bal...

Dammit. Aren't the real Epic fans, Unreal fans? Bring back UT. And don't make it multiplatform. PC only. Twitch shooters don't work on consoles. It is like all the "Bioware fans" who say they love Bioware but have only played Mass Effect from them.

You realize Crysis gameplay is solely based off however you want it? THis isn't a normal scripted FPS where you just trudge along and expect the game to make explosions for you. The thing about Crysis is how it was an actual sandbox gameplay game. You can tackle any situation any way you like. That is how you are supposed to play Crysis. Plan out your attacks. It isn't for the weak minded who just trudge along waiting for scripted events.

It is like playing MAG or Battlefield wi...

People who are buying this game, I applaud you.

This is my most anticipated game of 2010. I seriously can't wait for it. More games need emotion in them. Like no videogames make you feel regretful for your actions.

I'm hoping Heavy Rain can actually make me look back through my playthrough and regret some of my actions.

Seriously guys, if you are on the fence about this game, just take the plunge. Know that you at least bought something different in tod...

sigh....

I won't lie, developing for it is much easier. but more profit? Only some companies like Bungie, or IW see tons of profit. Remember the gaming recession? Layoffs? Bankruptcy? Closing studios?

That didn't happen at all in the PC market.

PCs won't be as accessible. Even their games mind boggle most console users. Killzone 2 came out with controls different than COD4, and everyone was mind boggled. Their brain couldn't take it.

The amount of ignorance astounds me.

Crysis has far superior physics than in U2. Not only that the gameplay depends on you entirely. It is an actual sandbox game. You can play the game by mainly stealth, run and gun, etc..

The gameplay depends on your completely. Crytek left it open and unscripted, so the player themselves can decide how everything plays out

5968d ago 11 agree2 disagreeView comment

You can build a gaming PC for $600 and max out Crysis. Just build it yourself.

Not only that a PC is mandatory in a house hold nowadays. So don't go around saying PS3 is half price! PS3 can't do even 1/4 of the stuff a PC can do. And I'm pretty sure you used the price justification in PS3 vs. 360 discussions (PS3 costs more because it comes with so much more).

Honestly, Uncharted 2 still doesn't touch Crysis or Arma 2. U2 is a LINEAR game. Without destructible enviro...
