The author is a tool/idiot. Only in the U.S. the games for consoles cost $60.00 plus tax; however, Japan/Australia gamers pay $80-100 U.S. dollars for console games and guess what; it does not include microtransanctions, dlc, pay to play online. Sadly enough Japanese/Australian gamers must pay $20-30 more for xbox live/ps plus for less content. Microtransanctions, DLC exist for gamers allow it to exist due to their loyalism to corporations/favorite franchises. What the market needs is competi...

Videogames are not real, and are part of the entertainment industry. An industry that has mocked Catholicism (Family Guy, South Park, and The new version of Noah's Ark film which in my opinion was a joke). An industry that has allowed rape films plus scantily clad women in music videos. So, if films/music have no limits why games need to have limits ?.That's what ratings are for (k-A). That's what videogame journalism suppose to be. My point is, that games should be creative regar...

I do want a game where you are an ISIS soldier mowing down American Soldiers. Oh how about a bloody/gory, war game with civilians. My point is that gaming still look as a hobby for kids not a hobby for adults. I applaud these game developers not for offering s videogame masterpieces, but for not afraid of political correctness. I don't care if a game is about rape, lesbianism, ISIS, the pope raping little girls. I don't care as long as the game is good to play, good to look at, and i...

They will buy it, despite hating the model. They bought call of duty despite being the same every year. Bought $60.00 games with microtransanctions on them (GT, Forza, MGS V, etc.). So, no I have no faith in gamers like I used to

From the episodic games that I have played is that a lot of times I end up waiting 2 to three months for the next episode. For example, "The Wolf Among US": episode one came out between October or November, the second episode came out in February.

Exactly that's Microsoft strategy, to sell their games on multiple devices. First sell quantum break on xbox one and PC (ensure quantum break is exclusive to Xbox Live store to get profit from there). Later on xbox exclusives will be playable on Windows smartphones/tablets. Imagine that.

If this was 1995 or 2000, I would agree with you. But with PC gaming earning more revenue than consoles, selling more than consoles, with the consoles unable to run native 1080p/60 frames per second on all of its games. Plus the steam machines. Clearly consoles are done. On 2020 the steam machines will be cheaper, have full steam library compability, better deals, etc.

Yes, that surprises me too. After all PCs are complicated and dealing with hardware is a no no.

Who cares is near impossible nowadays to have exclusive games. This is glorious, for it means xbox live will become a brand. On 2020 gamers will be able to play xbox live games on any device from their PC rigs, tablets, smartphones, and yes through your 4K smart tv xbox live app. This means a bigger audience and no more outdated useless consoles.

Hell yeah, I knew it, I knew it. This game is coming to PC. It looks like Microsoft will turn xbox live into a brand after all. Soon, when someone turns their 4K smart tv there will be a xbox live app, also a roku like device will be the next xbox.

Amazon pretty much offers the cheapest console games yay but its competition does not follow booo.

Games back then were complete and better yet during the PS One/PS2 era console games were at its cheapest price like 2K sports games for $20.00, Everquest Online for PS2 was around $30.00 plus tax.

PS One/PS2 games offered

cheat codes
map editors
mini games
FREE UNLOCKABLES
alternate endings

If you are into indies there's a couple of creative games like:

To the 🌙
The stanley parable
This War of Mine
Elite Dangerous

As far as mainstream games goes yup creativity is pretty much gone.

There were bad games in the past no doubt. Ever play rascal for the ps one that was a terrible game by the way (stiff controls, bad camera, technical issues like freezing, etc.) The difference is that today's games are pretty broken. The technical issues with games back then were if I recall:

Tank movement
Floaty/bad camera angles
Clipping issues
Invisible walls
Character/enemy going through walls
Freezing

I prefer single player story driven games over multiplayer only games. It's the story , lore, and atmosphere that drives single player games. Multiplayer games is great for gamers that love to socialize.

JRPGs on PC like every single freaking final fantasy game check, along with fortune summoners, nier, nestalgia, scepta core, ys franchise.

Platformers yes the PC has that in boatloads too:

Cave Story
Freedom Planet
Ori the Blind Forest
Super Panda adventure
Gianna Sister Twisted Dreams

You're joking right. Microtransanctions, day one dlc, remasters galore, less console exclusives, etc. Yup is a golden age of gaming if you own a pc that is
