I agree nor disagree well consoles are easier to maintain than a PC and it's exclusives (mostly Sony as far as innovation, new ideas go for exclusives) is what keeps consoles afloat. If this was a list for best horror games of all time I would highly recommend this list ;however, is a list for five best games for this Halloween. What hell no, what happened to amnesia dark descent or amnesia a machine for pigs, lone survivor, Lucius, slender (whichever version you prefer). That is not true PC can create competition within itself. The era of console hardware is over. I see turning on a PC login in to PS Plus, Xbox Live, or Nintendo network.
That is the problem with consoles becoming too much like PC in the wrong areas like patching updating and installing the game onto a hard drive. Instead of implementing mods, map editors. All in all I see consoles and handhelds becoming one system.
I am guessing next year well the wolf among us barely started but I am excited to play the second season of the walking dead. The first one was sad, depressing and dramatic every moment was tense every decision was heart breaking. Despite all of this I can't wait to play it getting my tissue box ready

I like this blog because is true there have been a lot of great games sadly the vast majority of games that I consider great are coming from independent game developers. Mainstream gaming has become like a Michael Bay film lots and lots of pretty visuals, special effects and such but no substance ; however, a tiny few games or franchises have come from mainstream developers like Portal franchise, Uncharted franchise, or Assassins Creed (wish Ubisoft slow down a bit to catch up). I am an old gamer been playing games since the original NES but lately games lack depth and complexity. Most games are hand holding you all the way to the end of the game. That's why I prefer indie games like Dust an elysian tail yeah it has the amnesia main character ; however, it has depth for example every time you die you lose money, enemies get stronger as you get stronger. Visual fidelity is not held back by consoles, if that were true then depth of field, Physyx, anti aliasing, etc. would not be possible if visual fidelity was held back by consoles. Excellent points and I won't be surprised if what you said happens. After all the upcoming consoles have an ultra mobile APU processor along with a mobile GPU. Meaning they are as powerful as tablets.
