It's primary audience is basically console gamers that are not loyal to the corporation, console gamers that are on the fence of buying their next generation gaming device. I disagree Nintendo needs new ips badly, it needs to market it's system badly. As for games that is subjective, me personally I will either recommend the 3DS due to more quality titles, true online gaming, cheap system and games over the wii u or if not Valve Steam service lots of cheap mainstream games, plenty of phenomenal innovative indie titles and the ability to customize the hell out of your games.

Confused PC gaming rigs are already more powerful than current next generation consoles. Most PC gamers have a gaming rig with 16gb of ddr3 ram, 1TB hard drive, Intel Ivory Bridge Quad core processor or AMD bulldozer or piledriver, etc. Ultra settings is basically 4k resolution or 2000p, 120fps. The average not ultra settings is 1080p 60 frames per second.
It will be a lot easier to build a $500.00 PC during the holidays or during a sale. Anyhow spending $600.00-$800.00 for a gaming PC that does everything is a better investment than a console. Well what is the good news. Honestly, the wii u primary audience is casuals/kids. This company is not innovating anymore whether is software or hardware. It's games are just re-skins of previous titles. Were is the marketing, the innovative games, were is the innovation of the gamepad. Hooking a tablet wannabe to a console is not innovative.
