“IF the platform holders (Sony and Microsoft) allow us to update the code
and data without restrictions and odious time consuming QC procedures, IF
they allow our community to openly interact with each other across
platforms, then I would CONSIDER supporting them.”
Those Conditions are against console manufacturers policies. I don't see Sony much less Microsoft allowing Robert to update/patch a game without a certification process. To be able to pl...
Umm not anymore, the PC wins hands down with free online gaming, full backwards compatibility (dosbox for Dos games, Mud for classic PC games), able to customize the hell out of your games, an amazing multimedia device using xmbc, deals and steals for both games and hardware, able to play on the couch using your tv set, etc. All in all PC gaming will dominate this upcoming generation while console gaming will fall.
Pretty good review
It was a pretty good review what did you expect a 10/10. Sony Vegas is owned by Sony. So with that in mind Sony does have experience in streaming clips and what have you to see limitations on the PS4 shows the PS4 is not as powerful as people think besides with 8 core APU processor, 8gb of GDDR5 ram it should not have limitations meaning it should of been as identical as possible to Sony Vegas. As for the music debacle well I mean the PS3 allowed it's users to play their own ...
Really show me something that proves that.
I bet you that the next generation of consoles are gaming tablets or gamers will end up hooking their amazing smartphone devices to their 4K Tvs via a docking station using a gamepad.
Okay I am using a 360 gamepad /keyboard and mouse, playing PC games via STEAM big picture mode through my PC gaming rig. I decided to buy (5 years from now) a docking station for my smartphone to hook it up to the 4K TV using a gamepad to play say smartphone games via the television set. See my point.
For now ever tried Onlive on your smartphone because Onlive allowed gamers to play crysis, read dead redemption, batman arkham Asylum on say smartphone with the Onlive gamepad of course. I mean if the people behind Onlive were able to pull that off wait till Google, Apple, heck Microsoft to pick up from were Onlive left off man that will give consoles a run for their money. 5 years ago the phone was only capable of running simple apps, making phone calls, text messaging, simple p...
Onlive proved through cloud computing technology that it's doable to experience console gaming experiences on a smartphone device. The wii u gamepad already does what the wii u system does, the vita is already capable of running PS4 games (512mb system). So is no longer if it's possible or not but when. Five years from now we as gamers will see plugging our smartphone devices to the 4K Tvs, playing our games on it via Gakai, Nintendo Cloud Network, Microsoft Cloud technolo...
Say if Sony, Microsoft, hell even Nintendo decide to bring a gaming tablet would you buy it. Looking at what the wii u gamepad offers, it might be possible for Nintendo to bring a successor to the wii u gamepad and that would be their next generation console. The market is demanding the ability to play games anywhere. A docking station for say smartphone, or wireless usb adapter to hook say smartphone to a tv, play say games on the tv using the smartphone as a controller or hook a us...
Sorry but PC gaming is not going anytime soon due to two critical facts. One there is no device besides the PC to make games, and second PC gaming is used as the platform to test new video game business models or features. Consoles on the other hand are going the way of the dodo meaning ask yourself can the console manufacturers continue selling their products at a loss, will these corporations keep selling say consoles below $600.00 (very unlikely), can the console be able to differe...
Well he is trying to sell PS4 that is all, ummm steam machines are not video game consoles but a pre-built gaming PC like Alienware except between $400.00 or $500.00. The phone has two advantages though one it can hook up to a tv hopefully a docking station or hdmi; there is also airplay. Second 24/7 online basically it was Onlive that proved that it was possible to use cloud computing to stream console gaming experiences on a smartphone like Batman Arkham Asylum, Dead Red Redemption ...
Altough the play and charge kit will be more beneficial than buying and re-buying batteries. I am surprised that Microsoft did not choose the usb wireless controller. I agree with the steering wheel and also the headset. Those accessories are not really necessary.
Like the steering wheel which only the most hardcore racing fans will buy.
So can everyone agree that five years from now we will see gaming tablets from the big three console manufacturers
Looks like Steam is on a roll and may become one of the toughest competitor come next generation of consoles.
Simpler is better
Absolutely I concur
And is freeee, hell yeah this makes it harder for me to go back on consoles.
I agree is hard to root for Nintendo or praise them. Like really the company decides not to market it's system. It's best games are coming next year that is if those games don't get delayed. It has two major advantages but are not operated properly like free online gaming ;however, only like five or less third party wii u games offer online gaming none of wii u first party titles offer online. Backwards compatibility yet wii u owners have to jump hoops and loops to access the...
