I am a 360 owner as well, so I see your point. On the other hand, had Blu-Ray lost, PS3 would still benefit as it would have a large storage medium for its big games..Someone was going to lose no matter what, so now we deal with the fallout.
It is most definitely the beginning of the end the end for HDDVD. I have stayed away from posting here for a while now because I was so sick of the BS mud slinging going on (largely from the fanatical HDDVD fanboys) but it is really telling when you see that even those arden't supporters seem to be conceding.

Dear LORD, those are big differences!! Maybe not PS1-PS2 diffs, but definitely early PS2-late PS2 I mean it looks practically as good as GOW2. I never would have thought it could be that much better, wow. I don't yet have a PSP (been waiting for FF7:CC) but hey, If I have the money, GOW:COO is a system seller as well!!
Uh, don't put too much stock in this. The dev has been saying this for a while. First it was holiday 06' then 07' now 08' This is kind of vaporware.. Anyway, also it is only PC at the moment but console versions are supposedly planned. Oh and some pics are indeed in-game screens. But probably only PC.
8 days and getaway are still under the radar, I'm guessing as various sites list those to as 08'. No doubt they will be seen again.
Not to bubble burst, I'll bet it is a typo. Didn't some other site recently reveal that "Colonies" was 360 exclusive? If anything, its probably multi-like the first one.
Remaining entirely in first person throughout gameplay is something I believe we have yet to see. Having almost no HUD in an FPS I think is a first. I know Gears had a limited HUD, but that was 3PS. Also, seamless cinematic to gameplay is relatively new to gaming...Plus, no one knows what kind of multiplayer features this game will have. Its all being kept under wraps. There is much to still learn about this game before passing judgment.
Oops, meant probably. I assume we will see something soon, given these new screens and I believe I heard from one of the mags, that a brand new preview of the game would be coming soon.

NO, the difference is that he does not troll PS3 news incessantly. Believe it or not, the site IS split up with diferent sections. The problem is that the way the rewards system for N4G is set up. All the troll posts ultimately feed the contributors who put up (generally) the most ridiculous or controversial news, because these types of posts draw the biggest flamewars, and thus increase the # of trolling/flaming posts.

I say kudos to GG for admitting that the screens are not quite what the game looks like. I have almost never seen another dev actually do that. They always dance around the question, really pisses me off.
At the same time, I do wish they had just released an undoctored shot like they did for all the e3 ones. Anyway, we will get a new trailer soon enough that will show how far the game has come, I can't wait!
