I was thinking that I have yet to see any Xbox 360 ads and more PS3 ads.
Last night I was watching adult swim and they advertised the Simpsons game (multiplatform) and at the end of ad they flashed the PS3 bumper but not the Xbox 360 bump. I thought it was kind of odd.

Me too. But me personally, I am waiting for another price cut (maybe next summer time) and much volume to the gaming library.
I know there are good games available NOW but I want to save some money (time and sanity) by buying them down the road when everything has seen price slides.

I tried to double check these numbers because I was curious how 960% increase was reflected in numbers. That could be an increase from 1 console sold to 10 consoles sold. It could be moot. It could be from 10 consoles to 96 consoles. It could be more significant from 100 consoles to 9600 consoles. However when I went over to Amazon.com (which these numbers come from) the Playstation 3 is no longer listed on its best selling list.
My point is that Amazon.com is not an authority...

Xbox Live is a service that is high in quality and high in demand. I agree with the above that PSN will eventually be charged. There is no way to maintain those servers over a prolonged period of time off of software sales. Eventually you run dry on funds. I'm sure PSN will begin charging for their service but they will no do so until they have something people can look at and agree is a sound investment.
Gamescore is not dependent on if you have Live or not. You automatically get gamescore points regardless. The only way you can share and make public your score is with a Live membership.

Another note, granted VG Charts are buggy but some people like to use their data as the end-all be-all, but if you play with it and be patient you can see that the past generation, if you align all their launch dates, follow the same trend during the first year. I agree too, the demo floored me. I enjoyed it, and even if it was one mission I played it over and over. It was alot of fun.
