And in what way did any of their success turn into games I like to enjoy? I'd say maybe about 5 games, like one per year. Haters usually hate for good reason. I own a Wii and its a waste. The number of good games is few and far between. Quite frankly, sony has taken over the title of system with the best first party games. Its just a fact.

Please, sony is by far the most open of all the platforms. You can plug pretty much any usb device in and it works and they don't use a custom hard drive. There are many 3rd party peripherals given the consumer choice.

Darkseeker, games are not food and water. You can live without them, so who cares what they charge. If they want to charge 5000$/game that is their right. Either learn to live with it or get a degree in computer engineering/electrical engieering/physics/computer science/manufacturing engineering/chemical engineering .... etc.... and learn how to build game systems and develop games for them yourself.

I would design a stereo camera for the PS4 if I was sony. Stereo HD camera should be able to do most of the things Kinect can do for lower price. That in combination with the Move would be on hell of a motion controller. That being said, I obviously hope the DS3 continues to be the main controller.

And this is why people that think glassesless 3d is right around the corner make me laugh. They can barely get it to work on a small screen with a fairly defined viewing distance like the 3DS. Actually, leaving the system on is the best thing you can do. Most system brick to do broken solder connections from repeated heating and cooling. Leaving your system on indefinably would probably lengthen the life of your console. Though you will probably pay more in electricity over the years so its probably a wash.
