Well, that makes sense. Marketing campaigns are used to increase demand for a product, but the Wii already has a large excess demand. So unless they want to increase the price of Wiis so that the demand matches the current supply available, there is no point in paying for those ads. Those ads were basically just driving up the price of Wiis on Ebay.
Well the Gears of War II one seems to go along with Amazon's release date of Nov 2008. But I didn't know there was a GoW III...
As long as fanboyism leads to healthy bickering and brand loyalty, it should actually help generate revenue for the gaming industry. The thing to avoid is the belief that a game is tainted just because it is associated with a particular console.
It must be quite saddening for a quality game developer to get a product they have spent the last few years of their lives on cursed down because they made it just for a single console.
It got a lot of negative press for being a short game of 6-8 hrs, though its pretty much the norm for a lot of games nowadays. They didn't really focus as much on the amount of details and the quality of the game. In essence, it was basically released at a time when most of the media were pretty much against Sony. It did pretty well for itself out there in the cold.
...and getting them localized for North America as soon as possible.
It's just statistics, every PS3 has Blu Ray capabilities, there's not much any PS3 owners can do about it so we are just glad to have it. You make it seem as if the title said "74 Percent of all Blu Ray Players plays games". If a HD-DVD capable 360 came out, I bet you would be singing to a completely different tune.
"I just hope that failures aren't going to be the reason that the 360 doesn't kick the PS3's ass like it should this generation."
Wow, what undeserved loyalties he has for Microsoft, last time I came to this conclusion was when I was reading Animal Farm.
Good call. The thing I would really like to see with this sequel is some depth to the main character. I mean for every previous release, there doesn't seem to be much remorse or anything from the protagonist on the escalating violence. This time however is a man searching for his own American dream after being tired of the conflicts back home, but he finds the same exact thing awaiting him on these shores. So now, we have a scenario that can make the protagonist choose between peaceful obscur...
It's just personal preference of whoever wrote it. But I agree Rock Band should be on there, so it's not going to be easy getting one now.
Well, the PSP natively supports the following audio formats, so anything beyond this might not be so likely:
* MP3
* MP4
* ATRAC3plus™
* ATRAC3™
* WAV
* WMA
I just got it and I find it awesome to be playing this while listening to my favorite songs.
UPDATE: A hint to anyone that just finds that it doesn't quite match the beat of some songs, try playing it on hard. I believe the algorithm is setup so that it is much less aggressive on picking up beats on easier modes so that it is easier to play
Oh why do they tease us so with localization being delayed for a whole year? It may just be faster to just learn Japanese.
I wouldn't mind your ranting as much if only you didn't group the rest of us with your "we all".
I hate to break up the back padding between you two, but I really didn't want you guys to get the wrong impression that no one is respond because they have been left speechless by your powerful, persuasive words.
You all still keep on talking about lack of software, but you guys are a few months too late for that to be a valid argument. And as for the lower than expected game sales for the PS3, well the culprit for a lot of PS3 owners is the extensive PS2 game library. I bought...
Oh wow you're right, I didn't even notice it until now. The back of my mind has been reminding me that something was wrong with that picture.
Do bundled software count in vgchartz? I'm still confused by their methods.
I'm not saying your lying, but you need to provide some concrete evidence that you committed no wrong doing for them to take action. Warranties are more like guilty until proven innocent, so if other people experience this problem as well then maybe you can try again later.
Well, when they can't tell for certain that it wasn't done by accident, the guy need to provide evidence it was a manufacturing problem. I've had a friend who tried to put Artic Silver in for the Cell processor, but then found out about the voided warranty and returned it to CircuitCity for another PS3.
I think people tend to assume people lie (or twist the words around) about problems for their own benefits, so it's not surprising for Sony to be realistic/pessimistic about the...
If it is like Xenosaga, I'll admit my jealousy at the 360. I've played through all three Xenosaga and they are JRPGs at their best, I personally don't mind the long cutscenes.
I really hope MechWarrior and Crimson Skies returns for PC and the next gen consoles.
