Yeah, there have been way too many articles trying to make the battle between Blu Ray and HD-DVD seem well matched when, in reality, it isn't all. But then again, I don't expect CNet or anything else publishing an article about Blu Ray winning without getting a lot of backlash from the HD-DVD camp.
Yeah, I am definitely furious at them for what they did. Harmonix and MTV Games had the patch all ready to go before Activision stopped Sony from releasing it to users.
I don't get why PS3 owners aren't outraged at this news. The patch was developed and all ready to go in Sony's hands before Activision stepped in. We need to petition to Activision or something to get them to reverse their decisions.

Hmm would I rather the PS3 get a near perfectly reviewed game or an exclusive JRPG? That's a toughie, but it's not like its gonna stop me from getting either when they come out.
The reason is because MS purchases some good JRPGs in Japan, yet its users are unable to appreciate them. For instance, Eternal Sonata sold about the same as Folklore despite its greater production values.
I'm still unsure whether 360 fans can appreciate a good JRPG like Lost Odyssey or whether they would rather play western RPGs like Oblivion.
GT5 should definitely make it to the top three slots in software sales and give PS3 hardware sales a nice boost next week lasting through the holidays.
As for Wii Fit, I still see it just as an excuse for obese kids to get a Wii from their parents. But as for actually using it to exercise, it would have been much more effective if they just go outside, rest their eyes, and take a walk or jog.
I rather just own it if I can get it in perfect HD quality for only about $10. I think you come to appreciate the ones in your collection more when you do this.
You wouldn't be able to appreciate a good game, if its a PS3 exclusive, even if your life depended on it.

I used to think vgchartz is bad as well, but it doesn't seem like its showing anything drastic or wierd this week except a big drop for the Wii, which might just be an issue with availability.
The numbers with the 360 seems to match with the boost it got from Mass Effect and the holiday seasons. And the PS3 numbers match well with the press releases by Sony for Europe (and I think U.S.).
Totally worth the extra drain on the battery. I just hope all developers only use the extra power boast when they need it.
If Famitsu gave this game an almost perfect score without damage, then I don't think they need to spend time trying to figure how to add it on for Prologue. Just concentrate on localizing the game for North America and Europe, finish up GT5 with damage modelling, and then give a discount for GT5 to all GT5 Prologue owners.
Wow. How much did your final PS3 cost you then? I guess the moral of the story is patience. I've bought a PS3, PSP, and might get a DS if enough JRPGs come out for it, but I'll keep your story in mind if I ever feel like selling.
Wow, I didn't get nearly as many as you, but I've come a long way from how I used to "get" them off torrents. I only wished they would offer the BOGO deal on trilogies and Disney/Pixar films.
If you only listen to what you want to hear, I guess I can see how you drew that conclusion. Since you don't know own a PS3 and simply want to find reasons to fault it, I suppose your argument makes sense.
As for PS3 owners, the game is really not that bad if you are used to complicated controls. Sure it was hyped up more than it deserved, but I played it on my friend's system and it was pretty satisfying. I would simply suggest you wait until the game hits budget price and try...
