The only reason I have some hopes for HD-DVD not dying off completely is because I know the economy of the world isn't in the best shapes and people paid (some more than others) for the add-on or standalone player. But then I get to read a comment like yours which manage to quickly erase those foolish thoughts from my head. It's really hard being sympathetic to a sore loser...
So 60% of adults would rather have the government "regulate" kids versus themselves, then when it doesn't work out so well its only the fault of the gov and ourselves. I wish parents would take a stronger role in just teaching kids the basics of morality versus just censoring them from it all, it's not like TV or movies will ever teach us...
I have noticed (maybe I have too much time during study period) recently that you never really comment on articles that depicts Blu Ray in a positive light, which is most of the time when it comes to news of sales ratio (not the dozens of analysts). You really should read those articles as well to understand our view the situation.
I'm sorry but I think everyone has mistaken taken "slower" to mean reduced frame rate compared to the PC. It simply runs slower for everyone to compromise for a FPS on a console for those without mouse/keyboard (360 owners should appreciate this fact).
For those who still don't understand, then recall when you were playing Max Payne, Stranglehold, or Prince of Persia. When you slowed downed time, the framerate did not drop, only how fast everyone moves. What is so har...
Oh please let it come to North America, but with Japanese audio and English subtitles.
If EA gets their hands on Guild Wars, I wonder what will happen to the subscription-free service. I think it's either going to include a fee, have in-game ads, or have the servers taken offline after a few years.
I'm glad I bite the bullet and ordered the game from Barnes & Noble.
I still can't believe the low score they gave R&C.
Though I don't think you have any reason to get yourself excited about a rumor for a game that's not going to be released for a few years, I could say the same about some of exclusives that hit the 360.
Hmmm well there is one thing we can do with PSN that I know you can't with a XBL Silver account: play games online. None of us had to pay a penny more besides broadband access (though some may choose to steal it off their neighbors) after buying any game (ranging from Resistance to the new CoD 4). I liked how you went through the whole list making it seem as if PSN didn't provide PS1 and PSP games, PSN games, demos, DLC, documentaries, and trailers.
Did Lost Odyssey come out last week or this week (I'm guessing this week)? I'm curious at how this JRPG does in Japan on the 360.
Umm I think it applies for ALL x86 processors. And you should consider the complexity of programming for a chip like this.
He wants Square Enix as one of the top 3, it will be difficult with JRPG. I mean I love them to death, but friends of mine who are into DnD and western RPGs don't think as highly of them for some reason. They've tried to make shooters before with Dirge of Cerberus and it didn't play out so well.
I think they should concentrate on quality instead of a goal like this, or they'll soon forget where their roots are. I really will curse the day when they made a western RPG.
A few hundred consoles of mixed types won't really affect anything. I'm just glad no one was hurt.
When they grade it out of 4 with a 0.5 stepsize, it's basically saying any game that is next to perfect would still only get 87.5. They really should grade it out of 100 instead for a better perspective.
Well I think its like reading a book, you always come in with your own perspective and the book tries to change that. To what degree depends on the book and your own personality, so everyone should take reviews that criticizes on these details with a grain of salt. If the guy played a game only trying to find flaws, he apparently found it. But if he was genuine, then maybe it was just a really big deal for him that games surprise him like techno thrillers.
So far the only contribution from the format war has been price slashes on players and sales on movies, but, in exchange, it has slowed the adoption of next gen dramatically. I hope it ends soon...
My problem is with the titles, I really though he won the lottery this weekend until I read the article.
Though I know forums aren't exactly news, I think this one had a lot of information even most PS3/PSP owners didn't know about.
What the hell? You can keep on clicking the up and down button and it records it as a vote each time (at least on the "based on" tally below the title).
