End dirty media and marketing tactics and you take away the fuel for separation between fans.
That simple.
Will people still puff up their digital chests to boast about something? Yes.. but where? In articles that focus on the very topics.
It is marketing 101 perfected from Microsoft.
You know where the majority of their money went for the 360 push? Gaming sites and marketing to push this separation. They went hand and hand pushing exclusive content and “wh...
😂great quality for game pass.. while lowering the quality of gamepass.
I get the sales pitch, but it is a joke now.
The real question is, does e3 serve the same purpose anymore?
There is no bonus coverage. There is no “national” news made from e3.
If Xbox were to announce halo right now and show it off... it would garner the exact same attention now as if it were announced at e3.
I’m not saying this in defense of Sony.. I’m saying, why have your chosen gaming company spend boat loads of money to garner the exact same reaction in today’s times?
Sony even mentioned this th...
That’s because we know why they had sway away from it.
But 3 out 4 consoles have embraced it.. they more likely than not.
The game engines they are building are brand new and are future proof as well.
Not the same game engines at all.
Sony I had pretty much learnt their lesson with trying to rewrite how computing works. They lost that battle with the PS3.
The game would be defended or not even make news because it would be one of the many free to play games or listed at an indie price at best.
This is the competitions $60 AAA game promised to turn Xbox one into 20x the power... that will be sub hd and performance issues on said console.
@Dark
I’m not making it out to be more than it is..
I am saying, we do not get access to the characters. They are unlocked per a players experience.
Although you are correct on the abilities vs weapons.. there are scenarios the abilities net the win if it is on a class that can do large area effects. It 100% comes into play...
Are you saying these abilities will not come into play further down the line when they are part of enticing part of the game?
Wrong.
Legends have abilities.. some abilities can greatly improve a scenario and even help finish off a team. Ie get kills.
If you do not think this will be used to entice purchases.. then I believe you are ignoring it.
The fact that the legends have abilities...
unlike fortnight and overwatch, the legends could be used to get an advantage in order to entice purchases since the the economy is not overly friendly.
It can be possible to create a pay to win since the legends themselves can have kill abilities.
I know while the game is fresh, everyone will ignore this fact.. but this is what separates this from other free to play br games or even paid for br games.
@DaDrunkenJester
Yes and no.. are you referring to the larger predetermined destruction set pieces? Or the client side destruction?
I mean, I have blown out walls to have my friend bring in the tiny helicopter to cover my back.. and watched said pilot destroy the team and the building while inside due to me creating the door for said pilot.
There is no precalculated in this scenario, it is server based and like I said, on a 64 player map.
There are countles...
Where is this light years above battlefield 3 and 4? With 64 player lobbies?
Nah...
Why would you list successful items as your point?
I am saying, like when Best Buy bundles a console with a tv... is it because it is failing or what?
There is no difference other than how you title it.
This is not a $60 current gen game.
Period.
Now, is Microsoft inflating the asking price in order to make game pass look like a deal?
If the cloud power is suppose to increase a consoles performance, then what will be exceptsble for the original Xbox one with the added 12x computational power? Or will it still be sub hd with performance issues like 98% of all the original Xbox One versions?
There is so much negativity that this game alone puts on Microsoft....
So is anything that gets bundled considered as such? .. because this is nothing near something new in the industry.
But i love the dramatic twist in order to make it a headline.
I’m not defending the game.. just trying to understand the double standard of said scenario.
Mag is not a br game.
And please!!! Bring it back.
It is more like a larger battlefield than it is a br game though.
The biggest misconception is that there is an article saying a game “looks” like current gen.
If the game plays as a last gen game... then putting makeup on it does not make it a current gen game.
Then add on to the fact that the cloud is suppose to boost the game to next gen with 12x the power🤥
Yes. For online playing you need Xbox live.
Dlc, microtransactions, loot boxes etc all act as normal BUT!...
You also deal with contracts etc expiring or third party developers that can pull their content per competitive or any other reasons. This means you can invest in a game per purchases, but lose the game due to outside forces. See Netflix and Disney’s option and this leading to Disney pulling all their content.
The pool can be limiting as well as other third p...
Nothing wrong with offering the game..
It is just that said game would be a free ps+ game or one of the many indie style releases with little effort in marketing on a Sony console per the history this gen.
It just goes to show the differemce in offerings between the two companies.
No, the people that work for them and that have not created something that rakes in the money is getting what activision deserves.
Do not confuse the two.
Kind of.
I mean, marketing and advertising is a trillion dollar business for a reason...
Because media formats influence people.
No?
Why does it work in some areas per the human spieces and not in others?
People are influenced...
It does not “breed” the need for violence I believe in most majority of humans... but the long successful history of marketing and advertising completely argues your point of any form of media and its effects on h...
The biggest joke in the world is the Pr spin on game pass.
If you pay $10 a month to a company that offers indies with a $60 price tag, you can play said games free.
So, indie style games are free for $10 a month and therefore, worth $10 a month to play?
Get out of here and if you are buying into this... just wow.
