Totally agree with you but, it was not shown, it was said. Uncharted was shown to be what it is. Gears was a long walk in a stormy night. Not knocking the series, just that in an article titled "1080p" a comment like game of the year seems odd. Especially since both halo and quantum break made those exact claims about 1080p. Both bring dynamic.

@volkama well, they do own and or are affiliated with most outlets sooooo yes, yes I am saying that. Both sites are affiliated with Microsoft that started the rumors.
Until Microsoft feels like they might have put a pause on their sales or until the month of QB is over since it is their only real exclusive for a while.

It has already been proven that Microsoft hid behind all sorts of numbers and claims in order to use marketing lingo. The consoles failure rate was through the roof, they hid behind shipped numbers and who knows what else. You provide one solid sold through number from Microsoft to prove your claim. Correct but, what is Microsoft selling? Their end goal IS consumers where other companies want to actually sell you their products. The stuff they make. Microsoft is consuming up products to brand and then sell to to the consumers to get the consumers. Their information. Their spending habits etc so that they can control the marketing business. That is because everything they are doing or has done is to try and save a brand that they tarnished the image of. Not because they want be open. The good news is that they are but, what happens if they recapture the market they once thrived in? How long did it take to remove microsofts paywall or even give anything away? How many years did exclusives suffer to push the Kinect? How many consoles were jank and sold to the consumers? How long have gamers suffered with the exact same line up for 5 years straight?
Point is, consumers go by history. One console has a history while the other is trying to sell a new version because how badly they messed up theirs.

B. No, it is not amazing when looking at the growth. A 2-3% growth from 2008 is called bad. It is actually a negative. Especially compared to the competitor that is showing a 35-40% growth.
It is not an anomaly, it is called market growth and one presented itself better to the consumers and capatalized.
