Games.
They are “Chefs”... and the consumers are looking for “food”.
That is all that matters now.
Even with pc.
Yes, you can play any top marketed first person shooter at better frame rates on a pc....
But who has the vision and who is committed?
Sony.
Period ALL know that the best graphics and performance is on a pc. 100%
But where are those titles coming from that we all are like... “ok... we want to experience”.. fr...
Free money.
I mean, ea has offered less and less content on their releases... but if you give them $10 a month, they promise to eventually not offer less content per game and might even get creative. 🤔😂
That’s right!
Cheaper production with higher mark ups do create a good value...
Meaning, you can sell less, but if the profit margins are higher, you are making up for being less popular.
That’s what this means.
Profit margins. Rewards only Microsoft while they go an entire gen without making one new AAA title and what they do make is still on the same engines from last gen which means less money spent on production of the games they did make.
Marketing... Microsoft’s billion dollar focus.
“Do not sell what the people want, make the people buy what you are selling.”
Bill Gates.
Combat evolved was the remake that was released last gen.
Halo 2 was upgraded the same way for the collection
On advertising and twitch sponsorships maybe.
Also, major developers spent this year cutting jobs to increase profits while claiming the best years in revenue.
I will not shut up until you prove one ounce of any business knowledge.
Ea, activision, Microsoft, have all given less for more. How big they made their divisions has nothing to do with the product we get.
They spend more on advertising/marketing a game then they do maki...
And you trust Microsoft? 🤔😂
No.
100% developers.
They want the shovel ware, microtransactions, dated engines with just more make up and most importantly, not spending a lot of money making games.
And these “game passes” are not going to help next gen either unless there are games that make it truly worth it.
It took them all but a month to crack the 360 and pirate games. 🤔
Perhaps no one is trying or playing them because they have what they want.
Gears and halo... after that, what else is there to get that is not out there?
Man, the days before Microsoft were awesome.
Was there even 3 seconds of what could have been gameplay?
To whom?
I was going to say.. the most refreshing part of this e3 is not having tons of shill “gaming” sites slamming Sony for whatever their e3 stage show was...
Although, Sony not being there this year shows us what is wrong with the competition for sure.
I understand the “they bought studios”..
But you do realize the last 3 years of the 360 had the exact same defense for not having games.
“They are focusing on next gen”
How did that turn out?
You can tell what a company is doing by what they do release not by what they “could” do.
I could watch that gif all day. 😂😂
Because Sony provides reasons to get excited for an upgrade with jaw dropping games that pushes a gen.
Microsoft seemed to be putting more paint on dates engines.
Even gears gameplay that igm showed off was as clunky as when gears initially released. Just with more paint and particles floating.
It has lot more to do with just providing more hardware.. and yes, when Sony says something, more people listen because of what Sony does with their games.
And still supporting the base Xbox one.
That is a lot of make up on an anchor as heavy as said console.
It is not an official e3 until Xbox fans are saying “wait till next year”.
“Showing their hand”
To whom?
You think Sony cares what they are doing when Microsoft has not made a new AAA title/ip for close to 8 years?
If they are playing it close to their chest... they have only been doing it to their own install base.
Have to agree.
A “good” halo is a system seller.. but it will be after release.
A “hype” marketing push will not do much to move a needle after 8 years of Microsoft’s offerings or lack there of for must own titles made from Microsoft themselves
