Next year marks Microsoft’s twentieth year with a gaming division...
And twenty years later, it is widely agreed upon that Microsoft NEEDS to start working on 1st party games due to their lacking in said area.
In the last 8 years, they have made more console versions than new AAA 1st party games..
Kind of sad that they can not commit to said things because they are still playing catch-up.
This says it all about why they are dead last in ...
There would be a small handful of examples vs the state we get games every year now.
The introduction of “patches” have led to get the money now, fix later attitudes for the top developers.
It is timed per your progress.
You can also yell out and if a player is in your area per their gameplay, they will yell back... creating that feeling of connection.
Finding or seeing lost packages can really connect you as you play.. as in, you want to help that person out either by completing their delivery or by putting it into the system for others to do so.
So as you reach the point per the things you can leave behind and do so, you’ll begin to see oth...
@fragnum
There is nothing affordable about a console that is mostly based on subscriptions. Not for what it offers.
If next gen is not the point, what about this gen where said console still offers the poorest versions of the games offered this gen?
What about having to pay for Xbox live in order to play free to play games like the big hitters of fortnite, rocket league, apex legends?
The article is titled “I love my ...
Well.. your chosen device gets nothing.
If google pulls the plug, or of the third party developer has a fall out and pulls their support of the ip from google... you are out of luck. No?
The consumer gets nothing but access with the purchase of the game.
Now, I understand any Pvp/co-op is the same across the board... but any single player games you lose access no matter how much you spent on the game.
But it is just a trailer.
This game is going to be like borderlands or destiny...
Ie “target” rendering will be thrown out the window once in action.
I think the game will look fantastic, not my point.. it is a flagship, but in action with Co-op world going on will hinder the overall presentation. Especially if the base Xbox one consoles will be supported.
@Fragnum
I stated why.
Clearly.
Buy the x.
The one, one s, one s all digital hardly get any marketing support currently.
The all digital is somewhat, but what it can do can be done better into the next gen on the x.
The last thing any Xbox fan should want is next gen Microsoft games being built to support those weaker consoles.
They were a gen behind this gen due to how weak those versions are... why ...
The base Xbox one, of which is an s although it is slightly upgraded, is not worth purchasing.
It underperforms on all third party games that the PS4 has access to except there is no physical ownership of any of the software due to being a digital only model.
The console will not be supported much longer except for cloud streaming.. of which will be even a weaker version of next gen by the limitations of streaming a game.
The next halo, we all better hope, will not ...
Shall we go to the “power of the cloud” pr quotes?
How about the pixels/power pr to downplay the difference in console power? That is now used with the x.
How about the third party exclusive content quotes when most of Xbox’s content was third party games made exclusive like titanfall, dead rising etc?
The list is pretty large but then brushed off and ignored as if said things never happened.
Yes, companies have lied, Sony included... but it has been Micros...
Wouldn’t the peripheral still cost the same?
Or you mean Microsoft should play it safe and just update to support another brand.
But then again.. the pc versions already owned would have PCs that negate purchasing an Xbox so it is a lose lose situation I guess.
But what they bring, Microsoft, google etc, is not “competition”.
They bring boat loads of money and ruin gaming with visions of predatory marketing tactics with social herding.
They use their media outlets to manipulate the market and offer cheaper products with a lot of pr shine.
I mean, what we have been witnessing is gaming getting ruined more than being pushed forward due to what the “competition” actually controls.
look at all the...
Vgcharts is still here and they are more blatant with their misinformation than any other site on here... so, there will never be an option to “repot” that actually works.
@Ciporta1980
Being the fan and long time player of the original mw.. I could not agree with you anymore.
I left the game due to the incorporation of less skilled assets.
This new version has its issues and there is still enough cheese to make me triggered, Ie if I see one more player tucked in a corner with a shield and a throwing knife I am going to twist my controller into two, but overall.. this game feels so much better.
To...
That’s how I feel. They say “skill” was removed..
But a mini map with enemy locations is a pillow for skill.
A slower ttk is a pillow for skill.
The open maps are for higher skill instead of easy to control lanes.
Quick-scoping still can be done, but not as easily.. of which is also a higher skill.
And every youtuber is crying over the game for being noob friendly... while they play campy and cheesy due to the removal of said pillows in the game.
...
And if true, and not even in the top twenty of games played on Xbox... then that says a lot more of the state of the game. No?
Well, most of it is fed through marketing and dirty media tactics that Microsoft uses... so..
All sorts of blaming to do.
Will be interesting next gen since Microsoft is throwing money at streamers with sponsored streams and actually creating contracts with popular streamers such as shroud and ninja.
No matter the “not for everyone” argument...
This game defines a leap in game making and is THE leading step to next gen.
The decima engine not only leads this gen, but was built for next gen in mind. Ie I am now excited for next gen from Sony per their planking and direction of game making.
How about movie placements like in the recently released gears of war 5
And by “roasted” are you referring to comment sections or media? Have links to the media roasting any of those?
Funny how a song game gets actual articles vs what fans say.
We have been streaming content for how many years but yet we still have to upgrade our hardware to do so...
Even Netflix and Hulu will be discontinuing tv support for older tvs.
You need hardware THEN you need the software to STILL build demand.
@darthv72
You consider twenty years in a billion dollar business a short time?
While Sony is celebrating 25 years?
Interesting.
