Unless one console offers twice the frame rate at the same resolution, 4k, then there is no “war”.

PlayStation has a much larger attachment rate per consumers that did not go 8+ years waiting on new and exciting ips while being lied to and pr spun to be relevant.

The statement might have been crass, but in order to get a 360 with matching everything, you had to wait over a year to get hdmi and buy add-ons that equaled to the same cost. As in, “arrogance” was a sales pitch from Microsoft’s media attack blitz

Well, being Microsoft has had to release so many console variants over a gen and 90% of their games are on pc... a “Microsoft” fan should just build a pc.
I mean this gen saw a lot of their fans buy all three Xbox one variations just due to the overarching need to say “best version” for third party games.. that was $1,300+ on consoles alone... and for what? Crackdown 3, the worst halos to date, and an average gears of war?

We do have to say.. technically, the wii-u lost a gen.. so fast that it is not even considered to be in a gen I guess... which was Nintendo’s last gen console...

Most third party games and Microsoft games were all last gen engines for the most part while the Xbox one offered sub hd graphics, just like last gen..
so I guess it comes down to where and what you were playing.
I realize that this seems like a fan-persons point of view.. but Sony offered leaps above last gen per most of their AAA titles. Ie I felt like I was playing a new gen and as the gen went by, games became more stunning.

Microsoft has yet to make a new game engine from the 360 days.
They have the water engine built for sea of thieves and forza is rumored to be building a new engine.. but something tells me that It is the same as call of duty’s new engine for mw.. of which is still the same engine from 98 just modified.

The Microsoft brand was in the state of being a joke when they revealed the Xbox one.. said reveal continued said joke.
The power difference was not truly known and being defended so it really was not the deciding factor.

I feel ya. Sad it is taking a whole gen and a half to finally get a forza engine updated next year.. but I am betting it will be like the modern warfare “new engine” over anything really new.

You pretty much just listed the rest of the games available to choose from and since said article is “top 5 exclusives”. they are not just naming all games available.
Titanfall, forza 7, ryse, state of decay, quantum break, etc are not exclusive.
