These games are designed to attach to the users addictive traits.
They have literally studied the physiology of gambling that vegas uses.
In said pool, in todays times… the keyboard warriors are on a whole other level per mental conditions.

The majority of “new” pc builds over the last decade are running 1080p so that they can get the best refresh rate possible.
Refresh rate is greater than resolution.
Resolution only looks better per the refresh rate.
Ie 1080p at 240htz looks AND plays far better than 4K up to 60htz.
Only sponsored streamers are pushing the top of the line hardware and even then they are running 1440p to have the better refresh rate for better performance and les...

However! If the remake is done well, and I mean very well, there can be a whole other dynamic added to this game that notoriously thrusted shadow play into the gaming genre…
And that would be raytracing. If incorporated to a new level where reflections and player shadows can get you detected on top of 3d spatial audio… revisiting the familiar games on todays/tomorrows hardware could be on a whole new level of awesomeness.

One, not a Microsoft game outside of who owns the company… if that deal has been finalized yet.
Two, Sony has had blockbusters get panned from the US gaming media. Manu of times.
What is said in the comment sections has nothing to do with impacts of actual articles when it comes to sales. Microsoft knows this and abuses this since they own or are partnered with most gaming media outlets.

But those that played it enjoyed it.
Has a 97% positive from steam with over 2k reviews.
92% with recent review average since it is $10 now.
The game is good. It is an experience.
So yes, a good continuation is wanted.
Ryse started as a Kinect game and it was not “Microsofts” studios making the game.
When everyone realized Kinect was not a success with actual games.. they pushed the game out of Kinect and made it a release window game with normal controls for the Xbox one and sold it as a AAA game.
It was nowhere near meant to compete with a god of war.
Right?
If they did the same thing for PC, there would two articles a week of “stability/security” updates that do nothing on the front end.
Funny how Sony has to get these articles when they release a patch far less.
