Actually, I read 100 books last year.
WOW. I expected some controversy with this score but it amuses me how few of you bothered to read my review. I actually PREFER JRPGs (I gave P4G a 10/10 recently; I think I gave DQIX a 9.5). I really wanted to love Ni no Kuni, but it just had too many flaws to justify a harder score. Part of the reason the review was delayed is because it is a long game and I wanted to be sure I had played it thoroughly before I reviewed it. I also agonized over what score to give it, because, as I say in the...
I've actually talked to a lot of people who are in your same shoes, and I really think it has a lot to do with how poorly paced the game is. It takes far too long to unlock the good stuff or fast travel, for example.
This was an impulse purchase for me. I didn't pre-order but had a few mins to kill and wandered into Best Buy and picked it up. It's not perfect, but I don't regret the purchase. One of my fave console experiences of late.
I would like to see some non-MH-style RPGs on the console. Maybe even *gasp* a WRPG. It'll probably never happen, but I'd love that. I'd also love more VN-style games like VLR.
Wow. Just... Wow.
Really interesting view of video game violence.
These guides are so helpful for giving you info the ESRB leaves out or is too vague about so parents can make an educated decision about whether a game is right for THEIR child.
I'm not sure if DNF is hated MORE than A:CM, but interesting list!
If Sony can make good on their promises - access to all games via the cloud, playing PS4 games on your vita, etc. - then I'm excited. But I'm too much of a cynic to get swept away yet.
Nice list! :)
Haha. Actually some really great games on that list.
I didn't realize Far Cry 3 had co-op! I was going to get it on PC but maybe I'll consider the console version.
Has there ever been a successful MMO that did any kind of platform cross play?
I wish the soundtrack was included as a preorder bonus...
Honestly? Not really. I'm happy with the current gen for the most part. But maybe I'll change my tune once we see what Sony has to offer on Feb 20.
It's sad that this list has to be so short.
This game seems to be getting pretty consistent reviews. I never played the first one, though.
Definitely Eternal Darkness. I'd also love to see Fire Emblem on there.
Um, yes. I agree that games don't need voice acting (as I say in my review, mentioning Super Paper Mario). Drippy speaks with a pseudo Welsh accent, using Welsh dialect/aphorisms, according to the Welsh friends I know. And my review was not based on hype, it was based on my experience actually playing it. But yes, it was disappointing.
