Man I can't wait to give this game a try.
Sounds like a pretty blatant clone of GameDev Story, but I guess if you don't have an iOS device...
I had heard some bad things about this game but I guess it wasn't too bad after all?
This game was a lot of fun. I only played it on Vita and thought it played great. It's challenging, but for the most part, not too frustrating that you regret the purchase. You can definitely play it in a weekend or two depending on how skilled you are.
It's kind of a shame they moved away from the otome genre. :(
We "Solve" games in this podcast.
To me, as long as the voice acting is good, it shouldn't matter. But then the only game I can really think of that I was affected by a shift in voice acting was P4G, and it was only two of the cast. I hated Chie's new voice actor, but I know most people (who didn't play the original) didn't care... I do wonder, though, if a game like Uncharted released with anyone other than Nolan North doing Drake's voice if that would affect the game at all.
Good review. I guess the reviewer didn't have an issue with the ending?
I was so excited for this game when they first announced it, but I just don't play my 3DS much. I'll get this, just not immediately.
I hope we see more Atlus games on vita.
I picked it up for a couple bucks with the steam sale.
I may pick this up. It sounds intriguing.
Bought this this weekend via digital download but haven't had a chance to play it yet. Glad it wasn't a mistake!!
I don't doubt we'll see DQX in the west. But as big a fan of the franchise as I am, I just really don't care about DQX. Maybe it's the move back to consoles, maybe it's the MMO thing, maybe both. Eh.
Yeah, I could see how it'd be really hard to settle on just four. Soooo many great games for DS.
Solid list. I never imported Last Window so I missed that one, though I loved Hotel Dusk. I also loved Ghost Trick. I think I'd add the Dragon Quest games to the list, as well as Henry Hatsworth (even though it's soooo difficult) and Clash of Heroes (even though that got ported to consoles/PC).
Sadly, no. I really would like the book, even though I found the game disappointing, but $150 just for the book is too rich for my blood. :(
Not to mention titles like Luigi's Mansion 2, Animal Crossing, SMTIV, Soul Sacrifice, Pandora's Tower, and more...
Glad to see I'm not the only one who felt this way about the game. I do think the battle system can be fun, but I think it could have been implemented better. For example, it would have been nice to be able to hit a button to defend the character you're controlling (not just the "defend all" option), rather than having to try to quickly scroll and select.
Ugh, I hate when a game requires precision but the controls don't allow for it. That adds up to lots of frustration.
