He is getting out of hand lately, he took it to 11 now.
"Ryan confirmed that he did indeed tell Activision’s Bobby Kotick “I don’t want a new Call Of Duty deal. I jut want to block your merger.” When confirming the meeting in court, Ryan said “I told him that I thought the transaction was anti-competitive, that I hoped the regulator’s would do their job and block it.”"
Bethesda games =/= Activision
He did say otherwise about the Activision merger:

He is definitely not against exclusives, that's a necessary and healthy part o...
LOL, on one side they say this to the public, but in private emails they send to each other they talk about out spending Sony out of the market, how would you outspend Sony out of the market if according to their public stance they would still be releasing the games of newly bought publishers multiplatform.
Such blatant lies.
At 100% the revenue on a 10 year deal that might or might not get renewed down the line and needing a live account. Not exactly good guy Phil.
I hope you are joking...
Square sold Tomb Raider IP like 2 years ago.
"My first death in Starfield was super dumb and why that's a good thing" articles incoming.
Even worse if that's the case, you pay more money for the special edition and you do not even receive an actual physical copy of the game?
"Why Starfield not including physical disc is the right choice" articles coming.
What that means is that if Sony (or anybody else) do not agree on the 100% revenue of the game going to MS as they originally offered on their first 10 year deals, then that qualifies them to not release the game on that console/service.
They have not had anything to call their own in such a long time that they'll take basically anything that gets thrown at them and then ask for seconds.
They are so desperate for even an OK game, that they will excuse anything at this point, in their eyes Starfield is their saviour.
@Obscure_Observer
And did MS not money hatted all these WRpgs by BUYING the developers outright.
LOL, talk about double standards.
I mean, let's at least wait until a few of those games are out, besides Starfield they are selling us on the promise of a bunch of new untested IPs or developers, I will not be swayed until some of those games are actually out.
@Sparky77
Which Octopath? Because the first released on Game pass but it's still not available on PlayStation, now the second one released on PlayStation and not on Xbox (I'm pretty sure that if it would have made business sense after releasing the first one on Xbox, they would have done it again).
Kotor was originally an Xbox Exclusive,
Or it works in your favor but not against?
Actually, Sony had already agreed to a lower % for COD, I remember reading that months ago.

Yep, they take discounted margins, so not because of Sony dominance that ABK wanted a bigger piece of the pie, it's because of COD dominance.
"Poor us, we Lost the console war, us the little guy Microsoft, now, having already stated the fact that we are last and lost the console war and we will never, ever, ever, win it, can we please be allowed to buy the for 60 billions the biggest game publisher in the world?"
"What? You are asking about the future when there are no more consoles and everything is streaming? We do not know anything about that! We just want to be left alone in our last place with...
LOL, there's more entertainment and higher production values to be had on the demo of FFXVI alone than on the entire Redfall
And we know why it's 88, people that still cannot get over FF not being Turn based for this one.
There's literally a news article out right now that says:
"Xbox's Phil Spencer says he wouldn't use Sony's own exclusivity tactics against PlayStation"
Which he said under OATH at the FTC.
Talk about snake oil salesman.
