"an npc stood facing a wall while delivering his life story"

That sounds like a very dramatic scene now that you mention it, I'm sure it was totally NOT a bug, but a feature, totally meant to play out that way /S

I'm just saying what the article says, I guess you should ask Gameindustry why they make hard facts a console fanboy thing?

They should just not release numbers or stats like MS does.

Most of the boxed sales came from PlayStation even though it does not show %, Starfield already dropped out of the top 10 to 19, ouch.

I play mostly RPGs, this is perfect for me so I can both be with my wife or kids and be doing my own thing at home.

Waiting for the people asking for Game Pass Day1, so they can NOT buy another game.

@TheCaptainKuchiki

Dude, the % gap is only getting bigger, not smaller, the only way to make the % gap smaller is if the Xbox started to slowly sell the same or more than PS5 and then we started to factor total units percentages, that is NOT happening, they are getting destroyed 2-to-1 or like this month 3-to-1 basically every month. September might be the only blip in the year with Starfield.

Companies this big work out 10+ years step by step roadmaps for what they intend to do, that line about "that was us 3 years ago, we are now enlightened and changed" is the biggest corporate BS I've ever heard.

It just does not work that way.

Cost to run the service, cost to include games into the service, cost of day one games, publicity costs, paying salaries, bonuses, benefits to the God knows how many people they have right now based on all the developers and publishers they had and the ones they bought. Licensing fess for the engines they use on their games, any cost related to game development besides employees, do we add the money they put into buying all these developers and publishers in there?

LOL,

Who is salty enough to give you 4 dislikes for praising this game?

I had it on my wishlist waiting for a Discount, when I knew I would be close to playing it, so much in my backlog already, might as well try it now.

Also looks at ALL those Star Ocean titles!!!

I'm sure in between PS+ and GP they probably covered all their development budget and then some, on top of that they sold like 250,000 copies first week and counting.

I think for the only teams that something like PS+ and GP works Day 1 is for indie developers.

100%.

Just put it there as the second language option, make Japanese main and then to those who want it and understand the trade off they can select English.

"Why Bethesda games are better with Bugs" articles incoming

@Battlestar23

FFVII remake sold 14+ millions so far, you do the math of how much MS would need to pay SE.

That's the thing with most Xbox fans, they do not want the games on their console, they want it on GP, it's just incidental that it releases on Xbox because of GP, you guys do not buy anything.

1012d ago 24 agree3 disagreeView comment

LOL, on the same comment you talk about SE being mad about Sony "making them Lock" FF16 as an exclusive losing sales AND talk about releasing FFVIIR DAY ONE on GP, therefore eliminating basically how little they could sell on MS to begin with.

You cannot have it both ways.

On this "opinion" piece alone, please let's ban Esquire going forward.

This is a weird review, they are comparing Starfield and the creating engine mostly against Bethesda previous games, not that much other current gen games, I think not fair to compare Starfield or the creating engine to Fallout 4 that came out in 2015.
