If these are the only differences, this is quite sad, "higher-quality" ambient sound and a jump from 720p on the Wii U to 900p on the Switch docked, I know it's just a port, but I would've guessed the Switch could do quite a bit more, It seems I was mistaken.
" I know 4 people personally buying one (not including me that is buying one). 2 of which own Wii U, 1 of which own 3DS....all of which own PS4 (I own a PS4, Wii U and 3DS). So Nintendo is getting new gamers than just Wii U and 3DS owners"
When you say new gamers, you mean only one? 'cause 2 of them already had Wii U and 1 a 3DS, that isn't very reassuring, you should've thinked that example more thoroughly
"Phil Spencer: Xbox One games shipping this year are different and will not be Gears / Halo led..."
...But next year will!!, That was my first thought upon reading that.
P.s: does he knows that MS is releasing Halo Wars Remastered AND Halo Wars 2? Or does he just count them as Halo games so they can sell more upon name recognition but doesn't when people accuse them of releasing the same things every year?
Actually is a lot more than I thought it could sell, and I'm a big Team ICO fan, not only did it sell amazingly well for a "niche" title, these are just first week RETAIL number, they are not even counting digital.
This is the kind of game that will have long legs as more and more people get to discover it and recommend it, I'm very happy for Team Ico.
I'm having issues with how they make it seem like the Pro Controller comes with the console and is the standard way of playing instead of a $70 extra.
Someone is going to be very mad in Germany when they open their Switch Box and don't see a Pro Controller, they shouldn't advertise the system as if the Pro is part of the deal and not a $70 extra.
It seems that someone has never heard of the old "Show, don't tell" Before.
Totally, they should be giving away monthly several games, not just one for the month and on top of that they need to expand the VC to N64 and GC games most definitely.
Honest question, If someone already has a Wii U, what´s the need to buy the Switch before at least Mario? you already have been playing MK8 and Splatoon for years and you can buy BOTW on your console.
The Wii U already had indie support and japanese titles, that didn't help it to make more than a dent in today's marketplace, they will need more than just that.
It's a no brainer it was going to sold out, there's still a 5 to 10 million strong core Nintendo base that will buy whatever the Big N makes, after the 10 million mark is that I see the Switch severely slowing down in sales.
The Prequel is a cross-generation game made for the Ps3 and Xbox 360, the new one will be a current generation only game, so my best guess is that the Switch can't run it without making too many compromises.
You can take it farther? I Guess?
Besides the joke, The Switch is a mix between the Wii and the Wii U, the first one of the most largely despised game consoles by gamers with its emphasis in the family crowd, and the second the least succesful Nintendo console ever, but this time you can also take it on the go.
The issue is not if Nintendo Launch Lineup is or not better against the other launch lineups, they are not competing against that, they are competing against 2017 releases of those consoles, they are coming out against one of the biggest years of exclusive and third party releases of their rivals, and against that, this launch lineup is not going to cut it.
Shit flavoured Lollypop?
I agree, I don't think they are going to have enough games as a whole to get away with paid online, let's be real for a moment, what did we got with online multiplayer at the presentation? we got Fifa from EA, and Skyrim remaster from Bethesda that is a re-release of a 2011 game (which may or may not have mods), so my question is, what are we paying online for in the first year? Splatoon, Mk8, Arms, Fifa and Nba 2k18? that's not going to cut it.
And I forgot, it...
The worst is easily 1,2, switch And I still remember Wii Music, that was bad.
@Rude-ro
Those are yearly sport titles, So I fail to see your point, and yes, those games change next to nothing too, it's just a $60 roster update, that's why they have a year next to the title, so you can differentiate them, because if not, no one would know the difference, just like Splatoon 2, without the 2, it's just the same game, but on Switch.
And just so you know, I don't buy them, never have.
As someone who has never played Splatoon, how did it show it wasn't a port with extra bells and whistles like what they did with MK8?, they showed a new weapon, that could have been as easily added in as something extras for the fans, just how the added a LOT to the original game, a new stage? the same.
The best example comes from the same Nintendo, Mario Kart 8 is a highly improved version of the WiiU game, they added quite a lot, but they are still calling it the same...
Exactly, just like Mario Kart 8, but at least they're not putting 9 in the end.
They added a few things to the original game and put the 2, it looks exactly the same to me, exactly the same and I consider myself very gaming conscious.
Yes please, would gladly take The Order: 1886, always wanted to try the game, wouldn't mind that is a story driven corridor shooter.
