This has been my number one want for the system since it was announced. Nice to see some more interest in it. Hopefully with big names like PA talking about it, it should get more people interested.
I respect Carmack as a developer and I am not going to jump in here saying I know more than him about how a system uses its memory and such, cause I don't, but I can't believe anything he is saying about the supposed "limitations" that he is finding on the PS3. Yes, we know it is a difficult system to develop for. Unlike the 360 which has a very PC friendly style of development, the PS3 is definitely something new and challenging.

This is filed under "who gives a F*" for me. You can't make everyone happy no matter what you do. Depict any race in any fashion doing anything and someone is going to get upset.

Personally, I thought Haze looked great and anything besides ordinary. Also, how is the idea of a stimulant drug far fetched? I mean, even if it was over the top and far fetched, it is a fictional storyline within a video game. Why would that matter? I thought the idea of a multinational corporation using a PMC force with enhancing drugs sounded rather realistic for a semi-futuristic shooter.
Its getting to be time where we need to overhaul the ESRB, toss them out and start fresh with a new regulatory agency.
I think this is the first time I agree with Pachter. We're receiving so many contradictory statements from Sony because they don't want people waiting to buy the 80gb when it is $500. They want people out there now buying the 60gb. It is all just marketing.
She didn't quote any price. When the someone asked the question she said they were still evaluating the price.
The larger hard drive doesn't impress me. Motorstorm and 20GB's isn't worth an additional $100. I do like the price drop though and will definitely bring in lots of new people.
As of this time on July 8th, Stranglehold is listed as August 20th on the 360 and PS3, and August 21st on the PC.

I had hoped the price would be cheaper but they are selling it with a better quality bluetooth headset than I had imagines. Apparently it is a $40 Jabra model. I've been in the beta since it started and I definitely feel it is worth the price if you need the headset.

I guess I just don't understand the logic behind this. The Kingdom Hearts series has proven to be a big seller in the US. Why not spend the thousands needed to translate it when it is guaranteed to be a success and make them money? I swear, it is like Square is trying its best to ignore its fans and piss off the global community.
Typically when you are going to have a debate and discussion you try to have panelists from both sides of the argument. Where was the person that was on Sony's side? That is just poor journalism. They are feeding the viewers only a single dreary viewpoint. It's spreading their own personal agenda rather than giving a true thoughtful debate of the topic that looks at all sides.
Wow, G4TV doing another loop about the PS3 and its possible failure? G4, how about you become real reporters and give us some facts and real insight rather than pandering to the crowds that just want to hop on the band wagon.
Not very impressive. Both of these titles were at the real GC this last week, GenCon 2k7, in Indianapolis. Wrath fo the Lich King, Age of Conan, Eye of Judgement, Star Craft 2, Warhammer, and Crysis were all playable among many others.
