What I found interesting is the "basically like every other Level 5 RPG," comment.
In the US, the Level 5 games I know of are Dark Cloud 1 and 2, Rogue Galaxy, Jeanne D'arc, and Dragon Quest VIII.
What's amusing about this is that other than Dark Cloud 1 and 2, none of them play anything alike, and even with the two DC games, DC 2 changed up the style so much that it was definitely an evolution of the style.

If thats how things were determined we'd be swimming in pokemon and Wii shovelware. Sales are by no means a way to determine game quality.
Are you kidding me? Not to make light of the horrible events, but releasing a video game half way around the world has nothing to do with it.
Did anyone not see this coming? It was completely understandable why they were not required to be included with games when they were first debuted.
Sony couldn't require them on games that were already deep into development and releasing soon on the system otherwise it would delay the games and require more programming.
Sony most likely set an internal date, which has now passed, letting all developers know that trophies would be required starting next year.
Free pass? Absolutely not. Leniency in line with the innovation that has been brought to the table? Absolutely yes.
Innovation in a rather stagnant environment should always be praised, but the overall quality of the title still needs to be taken into account.
So while I would grade a solid game with nothing new an average score, I would grade a game slightly below par with some new ideas about the same.
How is this deleting the level from a player's hard drive? I haven't created a level yet but I thought you would still have a copy saved even after publishing your level.
Also, I don't have as much of an issue with deleting copyrighted materials as some other people do. I think there is a level of moderation needed and I don't mean of the deletion kind. Blatant copying of a game or its characters is definitely grounds to pull a level down, but merely paying homage or recreating ...
The Caravan Guard he was attacking is probably about 10 levels higher than him. He was also using a 10mm pistol, the weakest gun in the game, which was also at an extremely low condition, giving it a damage of five.
Considering the enemy probably had HP of 200+ or even more and adding in that headshots do more damage than a normal attack, that is still quite a few shots.

Sorry to burst the bubble but this story is completely wrong on how Gamestop/EB does this business. When a SKU is completely eliminated and there were still reservations on it, such as with Twilight Princess, that money does NOT, I repeat, does NOT go to Gamestop/EB. The money is turned over to the government as some sort of unclaimed tax. A reservation is not a purchase, and is not able to be claimed as profit by Gamestop.
