Are those going to be the only games there? WTF! FIFA! I don't think a sports game should ever be used at the pro-gaming level, especially not for the PC.
I think alot of Nintendo's success can be attributed to it being the only company to focus mostly on "E" rated games. Where Sony and MS may have a few titles suitible for younger gamers, they are much more geared to the older more mature gamers.
Sure they are selling tons now, but what happens in a year or so, when the Wii shortcomings will be even more apparent? Can the Wii survive a six year cycle, or is Nintendo going to release another console between?
If all 12 year olds knew what Cnet was then the Wii would be Grand Champion a million times over.
Can they maintain that sales rate though, with the lack of 3rd party developer support, and a game list suited to Kindergarden-Middle School kids. How long of a life span does this console actually have?
I don't think either of the first Halo games surpassed all other in graphics department. I don't know about Halo but Halo 2 was definitely outdone by Half life 2. At least this time around the environments don't look like they are just built out of square bricks.
Looks like they're paying more attention to the environments than anything else, good thing too, Halo2's looked like something out of GoldenEye.
Two gig of ram should be enough, but more never hurts.
If they are switching to Modern Combat I would prefer if it was a fictional conflict. I'm not trying to be political, but if they make it about the War on Terror I will never buy another COD game ever again.
I'm sure Ubisoft will make you some spinoffs, like they did with Farcry. That will free up Crytek to get to work on Crysis 2.
If they played it during the NHL playoffs maybe I would catch it. I'm sure we'll see screen caps and video here anyway.
That game didn't scare me, it just made me feel dirty.
I really want a game that can build up the suspense and then scare you enough to want to play with the lights on.
I think any more than 6 hours at a time is too much, and thats pushing it. When your girlfriend/wife has left you and your dog has died of starvation, might be a good indication that you need to stop.
You'll need both a Graphics card and the Ageia Physx card, problem is that there are not alot of games that utilize it yet, only GRAW, City of Heros, Bet on Soldier, and Cell Factor. It's still a question of if it will become a standard or if it will just go away. $200+ is a little steep for just a physics card. As far as a new Graphics cards go...Do you have a PCI-Express Motherboard? If so...You should find out if it is Crossfire(ATI) enabled or SLI(Nvidia) enabled. If you don't have a PCI-...
They already talked about this. They said it would be up to the modding community to add these features. It will probably only take a month or two for the Zero-G, but Co-Op might take longer. I prefer it this way, rather than waiting till '08, for them to add supplemental features.
Thats what happens when you can cut publishers out of the picture.
perhaps 12 year olds salivate over the next 6 Mario games and Pokemon, but not me.
This is all based on an unconfirmed rumor. I'll reserver judgement until actual fact is published. You can't even buy HD or BR movies at my local Walmart, because of the lack of demand.
If Pokemon is going to be around forever, I will just have to hate it....forever :P
