Now that we've moved on from the should have been release titles for PS3, like LAIR, HS, and Warhawk. We can move on to it's second generation games. Hopefully the developers have learned from some of the mistakes of previous games and are working to better them.

Unless this game can really do a number on the Critics you can probably pencil in Bioshock for many of the numerous game of the year awards.

No, all games on Steam require online activation. That was one of the original gripes about Steam, but since most computers do have internet connections it isn't that big of a problem. Also how are you posting without an internet connection, or are you just on a different PC?

Bioshock didn't do much for me in the graphics or animation department. I would be upset if UT3 didn't didn't look or move better than Bioshock.

I almost had an embolism trying not to fall out of my office chair laughing at work.

TF2 is just an addition to everything else in Valve's multiplayer stable. Like Counter Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, and now Team Fortress 2. If you are buying this on a console you probably won't have access to these other games. Even then Team Fortress 2 should be enough all on it's own.

All the information is encoded. I don't think anyone has been able to crack Valve's encryption yet.

And who is going to protect you when you are totally unarmed and the only people who didn't turn in their guns are the criminals? The Police? When was the last time someone was shot in sight of a policeman? If a policeman was present for every fatal shooting we wouldn't waste so much time with murder trials, especially when you would have an officer to testify. You are the only person responsible for your protection and your family's. Perhaps you are willing to sacrifice your life for gun con...

I'll buy it when it come out on PC in 1-2 years. Until then I'll probably get a chance to play it somewhere, but I won't buy an Xbox 360 just to play it.

I kinda wish I had waited to buy my PS3. I bought it as soon as the initial rush died out. I've been happy with it, but there have been little in the way of releases over the year, and I could have saved some money to put down on a new DX10 card for my PC.

Even if there were no video games, kids would find different ways to avoid studying.

That was back in the day when John Carpenter could actually direct. This and The Thing are my favorite movies of his.

Most of what your paying is for their pretty package and a professional wiring job and setup. You could probably build a PC with the same specs for a fraction of the cost.

While an $800 gift bag to a reviewer is questionably unethical. I don't see this as a straight out bribe, maybe just an attempt to boost their always flagging image. What's stopping him from just taking the stuff and rating it whatever he likes? Also didn't anyone ever tell him not to look gift horses in the mouth? That's $800 of free stuff. Doesn't he have any kids, or even nephews? Not enough in life is free.

I'm not that interested in this game personally, but the technology it uses is very interesting.

Did he already have an Xbox360 or Halo 3, can he review it without playing it? He works for the San Jose Mercury News, hardly the place you would find an Xbox360. This person's entire job could be to review the Legendary Edition game, the Halo 360, and whatever other Halo themed peripherals were available, so MS gave these to him for him to review. He also doesn't write about this in his review on the paper's website, where he gives the game a Good/Great not perfect score. If you think about ...

I would like to see a return of Adrian Shepard from Opposing Force. I also hope this isn't the end of Gordon's story and the Crowbar.
