RE2 was by far the best of the old RE series, before RE4 came out and changed it, probably for the better, but in terms of depth I still think RE2 could be the best of the entire RE Series.
I read in one of the posts below his blog entry that his new company is in direct competition of PS Home. So that may explain some of his biased opinions.
"The 360-degree rotating action can be a little disorienting for the first-time user, but once you start getting in shots on your competition, it's hard to put the controller down."
Ummm, where has this writer been, we've been able to turn 360 degrees in an FPS game for about 15 years now, lol. I'm fairly certain that whoever wrote this doesn't play Video games. I think she also said UT only supports 4 players.
The Wii was a lie. I expected full motion control(My motion translated to motion on the screen). Instead what you get is motion that translated to a button press. All they did was make you expend more energy to do the same thing as pressing a button.
If you have doubts about the game look where it's coming from. Have you ever played any of the Timesplitter games? They are all excellent shooters that mostly swing back towards a GoldenEye style of Objective based missions and awesome multiplayer. Look at it this way. They have alot more to stand on than Gurilla games does, they only good/great game they've made so far was KZ: Liberation.
To Hell with Gamespot. I knew they were biased the day they rated Halo 2 above Half-Life 2.
I know who Dio is and I know all the bands. I just didn't really know who the other two vocalists were.
Only 3 of 17 reviews on Metacritic are below a 90. That hardly constitutes a "Mixed Review". Instead I would call it Widely Acclaimed with a few detractors.
I love the design for this PC, especially the tool less slide in Hard drive bays. I wish they would sell the case separate.
This is what happens when you base COD 4 on a single storyline, instead of basing it on an entire war.
All the Obsidian Edge Screenshots are made by modders. The Vigilance shots however are from a game being developed for various military organizations for training people in IED detection. Vigilance may not even become available to the general public.
If some of you could actually read you would know that this is made by amateur modders. They aren't even getting paid for the work they do. Oh I forgot you can't mod on a PS3 or an Xbox 360, you can only get what the devs choose to give you.
I was dumb struck when I found the Gnome at the beginning of the game and realizing that I would have to carry him the whole way through. There were some parts where you could leave him go do what you need to do and return to pick him up, but the hardest part by far was the Chopper/Car chase. You can't put him on the seat or behind them, because there is no collision detection on the seats, so he just slides through them and out the door. I did find that if you jump on the back of the car and...
MMO's are for online players who want more depth and interaction than a typical deathmatch style multiplayer game will give them. MMO's give you something to build on, where in other games the only thing that you can build on is your stats. This isn't D&D. Not everyone is Roleplaying and acting like they are "actually" living the game.
Devil May Cry is a far better game than Lost Planet could hope to be.
Games For Windows just gave this game a 5/10. So, no. This is definitely not a buy and probably not even a rental.
Your right. Expression is constitutionally protected under the First Amendment. I just wouldn't play games based our current war, due to my beliefs. That was one of my biggest fears for the new COD4 game. I'm glad they chose to have a fictional conflict be the focus of the game.
In what game, other than Bioshock, is this really a problem?
Excellent screen shots. These definitely look alot cleaner than what I've seen in the past.
They don't even make games like that anymore, at least not without a heavy RPG element, which is ok, but sometime you just want to fly and shoot. I would love to see another Colony wars or another title in the X-Wing vs Tie Fighter series.
