I'm a huge Aliens fan, so no bad reviews are going to prevent me from picking this game up. I just hope I like it.
I really dig the disclosures at the end of the review which states how long it took the reviewer to complete the game, whether or not the game was completed, ESRB ratings, and any concerns for the deaf and hard of hearing. That's a nice touch I don't see too often, granted I don't tend to read many reviews, either.
It's a fantastic game. I'm having a great time playing it.
I've got no desire to play Bioshock 2. The first one was good enough, in my opinion. No need to play the next one.
I've got an old 27" Sony Trinitron and I can't see the text worth a damn in this game. My TV's smallness never really bothered me until now, so my wife and I might go pick up an HDTV next weekend.
So the small text in ME2 may be a blessing in disguise...
Bioshock 2, Aliens Vs Predator...
Well played.
"Haunted House" for the Atari 2600 is better than both games combined, for realz.
ME2 run over your dog, Tom?
ME. This news is like, blowin' my mind, man.
I howled every time I walked by a different store on the Citadel and heard that in the ads. Good times.
I'll take more Mass Effect, sure.
Yup, this DLC was super dull. And we hardly need a video walkthrough for all the dog tags. The entire area is tiny.
I got these codes yesterday and then booted up the game. Works like a charm! FREE is my favourite four-letter word.
I tell ya, I've played a ton of games that have received horrible reviews. And guess what? I've had a great time playing most of them. Reviews don't mean squat. Play what you like, regardless of what the "pros" tell you to play.
@ BeaArthur: Well I guess I got lucky then. The way Bioware has everything linked to the EA accounts is kinda tricky, but I figured that was just because I'm an idiot.
A friend of mine has noticed an empty slot on his team stats screen as well, one that he doesn't have a dossier for. So yeah, this would make sense. I'll probably grab this new character when I do my second playthrough (and third and fourth...).
The only "problem" I knew of was that Zaeed wasn't available on launch day. Other than that, Cerberus Network has been running smooth for me.
Sorry, I gotta say it. This game looks gayer than a box full of kittens. I'm passing on this.
Motion controls? Don't give a crap.
