Cool. It'll be nice to get back into Halo. Haven't played it in awhile.
I'm actually kinda interested in this. Haven't played Halo for awhile.
THAT's interesting.
Too bad about some folks losing their jobs, but at least Neversoft can finally move on to other things.
Oh, I'm getting this.
And in related news...PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY PLAYING THE MULTIPLAYER.
Rowsdower, you just made my day, man. Have a bubble on me.
The PS3 and 360, fighting for second place! As Seinfeld would say: "Congratulations, you almost won. Of all the losers, you came in first of that group. You're the number one LOSER. No one lost ahead of you."
100% agree. My wife loves adventure games like this, as do I.
For whatever reason, I never expected this game to score well. Either way, it doesn't matter, because I'm picking it up Day One.
DRAAAAAAAKE! WE. ARE. LEAVING!!
Uhm..."Here's what the box art MIGHT look like!!" Weird news item.
Whenever I get a PS3, this will be the first game I buy, hands down. I hope the game does really well. It looks awesome!
Midgard: Oh don't get me wrong, RE5's controls are leaps and bounds better than the original games, and I'm glad Capcom did away with the fixed camera angles, which were truly infuriating. I just think if the Resident Evil series is going to go in a balls-out action direction, then they shouldn't half-ass it. They should full-ass it, with appropriate controls for the genre.
And I don't mean to slag the controls all the time, but for me, it's truly what prevented a good game fro...
Bigpappy, I totally agree. When I like something, I hope it does well financially, because it means I might see more of what I like in the future. It's the same reason I buy CDs and pay for concert tickets; I want the artists and bands I like to get a little kickback, and I hope they can still put out great music. Same goes for games.
@ Midgard "and seriously some people r morons, complain RE5 isnt scary then complain it doesnt have running and gunning."
The problem I have with RE5 is that the game doesn't know what it wants to be. While I prefer the scariness of the series, I'm fine with it going in a more action-oriented direction. But keeping the archaic controls (not being able to move and shoot) goes completely against what most people know from action games. I think Capcom once said the contr...
The sad part is that even after a review without a number/letter/star system is released, I bet people would STILL go to the reviewer and say "So, if you HAD to give the game a rating, what would you give it? From your review, it sounds like it'd be, oh I don't know, an 8.7. Amirite? Amirite?" Some people just can't stand for things to not be rated as such.
I don't often concern myself with reading reviews, so Unicron when you mentioned Kotaku's reviewing system, I had no idea what you meant. So I looked at a recent review and whattaya know...no numerical or alphabetical rating. It was glorious. If I wanted to know what the reviewer thought about the game, I actually had to read the review front to back. I wish more sites would adopt a similar system.
Right there with you.
Guys, he's not looking for bubbles. Truth has been pushing for Heavy Rain's success for a long time. I hope this game does well. David Cage and the Quantic Dream team should be commended and rewarded for releasing an interesting and different game.
AvP, Dragon Age expansion, Splinter Cell, Alan Wake and then the Halo Reach beta. That's how the next few months are looking like for me.
