I understand what you saying and obviously Ares had his part to play in orchestrating the killing however Kratos still did it. Yes it was a BIG miscalculation by Ares as it backfired and ultimately got him killed.

No Kratos didn't hate his family or intend to kill them but through his own flaws as a person he DID do it. Nobody forced him. Pride is considered one of the seven sins for a reason. I think Ares and Kratos can share the blame. It makes for a good Greek traged...

I played it plenty.

Yep. It's only after you lose everything that you're free to do anything style.

Played the game many times.

Yep probably played it before you. Got it at launch and have finished it multiple times. The original still has the best story in the series and is one of my favourite PS2 games (top 10).

There was more to it than that. Ares tricked Kratos to a degree by giving Kratos the means and will to kill perhaps, and he put Kratos' family in harm's way, but Kratos ignored the warnings and 'pulled the trigger' all by himself. Thus the intense guilt and rage that he feels throughout the rest of the game(s).

I'm not convinced. Psnow still isn't even available in Australia but our ps+ price is going up too. I'm guessing just greed.

"Kratos has a son. What kind of father would he be?"

Ha ha ha. Funny.

I think the original game already answered this question didn't it? He is the kind of father that kills his defenceless wife and child in a berserk rage!

And Bloodborne. I have 300+ hrs invested in that game.

I remember being frustrated with some stealth sections. I like stealth and wanted to play stealthy but kept getting spotted even though the watch said I was hidden. It was frustrating that I couldn't play how I wanted to so I gave up and moved on to something else.

As I said though, I think I'll re-download them and give them another shot...silenced of course :)

I agree and had the same experience. I tried metro on the 360 originally but couldn't stick with it. Tried both games in Redux on PS4 and again just didn't get into them. Love the setting and look but something isn't grabbing me. May redownload and give them 1 final shot.

Someone needs to bring back the X-men mutant academy games. They were awesome.

I have zero interest in Capcom. Why are there no pure Marvel fighters?

Finished it at release but under a different profile. Just re-played it on my main profile and it was as good as I remembered. I will play the alternate timeline before the sequel releases(still haven't managed to part with my bud Fergus yet. Reminds me of House).

I like both and look forward to the next game. I agree the 2013 reboot is superior to ROTTR.

That looks amazing. Need to see more.

Yep. Awesome setting, atmosphere, story and gameplay.

Hope they stay story driven and old school. No need to dilute things with tacked on MP.

Yep. Evil Within and Alien Isolation were both a blast.

Indeed. Looks amazing. Hope playable Kidman makes a return too.

Yep last one was cross gen so nothing holding this one back.

Plus the evil within 2!

'Injustice 2 didn't need a story mode'. Stops reading.

Yes it did. Campaigns are not optional.
