The insentives to raise prices is already there, as GamePass is jet to be profitable. With an even larger market, they control even more IP that people are willing to pay for, and when they have control over more beloved IP, and less competitors, Microsoft will be able to raise prices - consumers pay up or loose out.
Microsoft threathen other countries is troubling, and a sign that they are to big already.
When a company (Microsoft) is big enough to threathen large countries, you know there's something very wrong.
Yeah, the voting system has been compromised, Xbox bots are running rampant.
Microsoft have the most studios out of the big three, go fund those studios and stop trying to take over the world.
Porting to Nintendo platforms was just one of many of Microsoft's Hail Mary's to get the deal to close, it was obvious to anyone who knows gaming. Not very realistic though, and Microsoft implied the same in the past, say one thing and then do another.
Thats what I don't get, they have so many studios, put the money into those studios and build new great games.
I bet that smug smile faded away pretty quickly.
lol
Sweet, the right call to be honest, monopoly is bad for everyone in the end.
Wow, this article is filled with flawed arguments, but the comparison to Disney is the one that really had me rolling. Disney's dominant marketshare is what makes most franchises shit, they killed Star Wars for one thing, and Marvel is not looking to good, and don't even get me started on the remakes of the old classics. Disney should be proof enough that monopoly is bad for everyone involved. Microsoft is already big enough in the gaming space, no need to ad activision-blizzard, one ...
The N64 was the first console I payed for myself, it will always have a special place in my heart.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
Thats the thing I dont get with Microsoft, they piss people off and then expects them to buy their product? SMH...
There is hope, Sony has hired more writers to ND and hopefully Niel Drunkman has less influence over story direction in the future.
Thats Konami, but I would take that remake 😁
They talk about memory like we are stuck in the 90s and a memory card was expensive and could only fill a small amount of data. This is not the case anymore.
Smoke and mirrors, like always with Microsoft.
I feel that for Bethesda games, the gameplay is not keeping up with the competition. The combat for example is really stiff and lack any impact, compare it to Horizon for example and Skyrim pales. The best part about the Elder Scrolls is the lore, but the tech is to old at this point. I could not go back to it.
Is that why the gaming indusry has been overtaking music, sports and film? Yeah, poor AAA studios, can't be easy.
