No, from the very beginning, both technology and time played a part, you should read up on the history of hardware generations. When the first big hardware leap happened, that was considered the new generation of consoles, time was off course needed to make those breakthroughs, but it was the hardware innovations that determined the new generations, not just some random time bracket.
I remember when COD Modern Warfare came out, everything felt new and fresh. I don't ever get that feeling from a COD game anymore, but if they return to boots on ground and change settings to vietnam for example, I would not be able to resist buying it.
Crackdown never had a great campaign, it's basically "you are a crimefighter, here is a gps to all the enemies and bosses - go kill them" all while collecting orbs. Maybe 3 will be different though.

I agree, a penis is an external organ while a vagina is internal, the most we see in games is perhaps a gap between the legs? I have never seen a vagine with details etc in games or movies (well, unless it's that kind of movie). Hell, even showing a woman nipple is taboo in games, so I don't know, seems to go both ways.

I respect your opinion, I just don't agree with the fact that people put the second game on a pedestal. It's a great game, even compared to the first Mass Effect, it does handle things like inventory etc in a better and more comprehensible way. It also had better shooting mechanics like I said, and while I would have liked less focus on combat and more focus on rollplaying, I prefer the combat in the second game to the first game. I will not put much time into explaining it if you think (like a lot of people) that it's the best in the series. If you think that you obviously don't care about the things I care about when playing a game like Mass Effect. I had a bad feeling about how EA would effect BioWare, and the sequel to one of my favorite games proved me right.
