I go back to play old games like Metal Gear Solid b/c of the story, if it had been a simple multiplayer games it would be dead and I would never touch it again. In a way,story driven games can survive the turn of time and be enjoyed decades later, unlike a lot of muliplayer focused games.
2pacalypsenow: Wow, holy shit... well, it's a good thing I don't buy Xbox products anymore, I love story driven games and when the head of Xbox says something like that, I will listen and take my money elsewhere. Thank goodness for Zelda BotW and Horizon Zero Dawn. Best games I have played in a LONG while. Oh, and Witcher 3.

Microsoft had collaborated with Sega before they jumped in to consoles, and they were in PC gaming long before that. Yes, we can compare the two.
They know not to poop in their nice PS4 house, they use the Xbox One for their "needs".
When I first saw this I imagined a game kind of like Zelda, you start out on an Island, find some cool loot and maybe a sword, and then you build a boat and find a larger world outside of the first small island. Guess that sometimes, the fans have more imagination then the creator. Still, I feel sorry for him to have spent that amount of time on something not worthwhile.
I have to agree, Ovarina of Time was a landmark achievement in game design, I would also mention Super Mario 64 and Metal Gear Solid.
Exactly, there are plenty of talented people out there looking for work, MS should trow them a bone to creat something new. That is how you expand the gaming industry.
