Maybe because of the console focus on western games has put them off. I hope in this next gen we get a little more Japanese flavor in our games.
They need to get more RPGs on the system, it's the reason I picked up a 3DS and I'm sure many others as well.
Putting console sized games on a handheld like Uncharted, Killzone, Resistance, seems like the wrong direction IMO.
If Sony was waiting to see what Microsoft would do, then why didn't they implement DRM when Microsoft did? Surely you don't mean they would implemented DRM if Microsoft didn't. See the problem with your theory?
It's the same problem with the camera being removed at the last moment theory. Microsoft priced probably as high as Sony or anyone thought they would go, so what was the plan if they announced at $450? Add the camera and match?

Look at the article posted by Berg right above yours, it's Sony confirming they wouldn't block used games back in February.
People just can't grasp that Microsoft attempted to do this on their own, not strongarmed by publishers, and not in collusion with Sony.

People seem to give him a ton of credit for making the Xbox division profitable. However, I would argue that the foundation was already laid out for him, and the installed base was at the right amount that he basically got to ride on his predecessors glory.

How is Forza 5 going to be so great when it's a gimped version with no day/night/weather cycles and no auction houses?
They look as good as iPod/iPhone headphones, and they seem to last.
And how cheap will that adapter be? Remember this is the same company that sold a 20 gig hard drive and wifi adapter for $100 a piece.
