@sentury111: Castle Crashers is indie, and it's a perfect example of what this article is talking about.

It's called a moneyhat.

@UNGR: lol you think Microsoft is going to come out and clarify what the feature was especially if it wasn't what they allowed people to think it was??

@Geezus: The random guy on the message board has credibility because he has leaked other information. But I suppose you're one of the brilliant ones who bought into the whole thing that people were just going to get to give 10 copies away to whomever? hahaha *shakes head*

WBelking: You got me, cause that is exactly the same as throwing out a vague feature name called "family sharing" then letting the internet community run with this ability to share games with 10 people with no restrictions so they preorder xboxes. Yes that is identical to PS+ being a service that give you free games that only work while you're subscription is current. Yes that's exactly the same.

Pretty funny that Major Nelson was quick to tweet a correc...

No, what didn't make sense was giving 10 free copies of a game away. I cannot believe how delusional some of these Xbox One fans were about this whole situation.

Would have been interesting to see Microsoft stick with this DRM BS and then have people get it in their homes that were expecting 10 person sharing communities to find out it was just this.

Why is anyone surprised by anything Microsoft does??

I really felt this video was slanted toward Microsoft and was made to thwart PS4 preorders. This video was published the day before MS DRM policy change. He tries to convince us that Sony has some sort of DRM boogieman.

I've been watching Adams videos since the Xbox One reveal and I've noticed a heavy slant toward Microsoft, especially after the reveal he was one trying to convince us that the uproar was because they showed no games and wait for E3 and completely ig...

Yeah it's going to be funny to see all the hypocrites backpedal quicker than Microsoft did.

Xbox One-Eighty!! Yeah they still tarnished their brand, it's still $100 more, and still has mandatory Kinect. But I may end up with one eventually, which there was no way I was buying one before.

@No_Limit:

Microsoft may change these policies or discontinue them at any point.

Which part of this you not comprehend?

Ah cool, glad it's an easy fix and not a total brick. Glad it wasn't like the Xbox fiasco a few years ago.

@No_Limit:

Microsoft quickly bought the rights to QDOS (Quick and Dirty Operating System), also known as 86-DOS,[3] from Seattle Computer Products, and began work on modifying it to meet IBM's specification.

Apple had licensed portions of its GUI to Microsoft for Windows version 1.0.

@Elite24Gamer: how are you going to trade with your friend across the country if the publisher blocks that option? Or if Microsoft determines the sharing plan is being abused or taking away to many sales they remove that feature or restrict it to the point it's useless? You're putting a lot of faith in a system that can be changed in an instant instead of a proven method that won't be changed at all.

If you compare them to their previous gen success, Microsoft made huge strides and Sony was a failure. Losing half your installed base to the competition means you're doing it wrong. Which is probably why Sony has completely changed their strategy.

Just when they get themselves in a positive light they put out a console bricking firmware? Good job Sony!

4621d ago 3 agree4 disagreeView comment

It really doesn't matter if it works or doesn't since any connected device can perform cloud computing if the infrastructure is there. So it really is a non selling point and is's really surprising that this is the best highlight Microsoft could come up with on their console.

@No_Limit: you're delusional if you don't think publishers are going to have control over all aspects of their product especially the sharing feature which stands to harm it more than trading and gifting combined.
