But it is common knowledge that they have to pay more for well know games, franchises, publishers, etc.
This was a game that hardly anyone knew was coming. It had zero expectations. It is in beta.
No way MS paid a lot for it.
Not sure why downvotes. This game came out of no where. Microsoft probably pennies for it to be on GP.
So they severely missed out on those sales.
If they bring all their games to Playstation, then their own console is dead in the water.

You have to understand that there are contracts between Microsoft and all the game makers. Those would all have to be redone and they'd have to pay a shit ton of money. If they paid 10 million to a company to get a game on Xbox... they'd have to pay another 30 million to allow it on Playstation.
Kind of a misleading comparison. They were simply talking about the game being melee oriented and more of an open world. I wouldn't compare a game to a soulslike based on that.
