I cannot attest for Nintendo, but I know for a 100% FACT that Sony knows how many units have been sold to consumers. If you have a PS3 and want to test it yourself, feel free to. Call the service center and ask for the EXACT purchase date on your PS3. They'll ask you for the serial number and provide you with the exact date and city that your unit was purchased from. The Achilles heel for Sony has been the yen to dollar ratio. I think that some of the things that Stringer has done have been beneficial to the company and will pay great dividends now and in the future. Notably the decision to have all of Sony's divisions as one cohesive unit (movie, music, gaming, electronics) and relying on one another for business models that can benefit all. I believe things will go back in the GREEN on all fronts very soon.

but the whole "...unannounced title" kind of throws Bioshock 2 out of the window. I am thinking the next game in the GTA franchise. Not "5" per se, but the next addition like Vice City and San Andreas was. Good news for the PS3 owners IF it's one of the 3 exclusives from Rockstar.
Ratchet and Clank: A Quest For Booty, Socom: Confrontation, FLOW, Echochrome, Pain, Creature Feature, and High Stakes Poker: On The Vegas Strip. I'm not saying that these additional titles are all AAA, but they all provide variety that can fit most any gamer. Playstation has always been about diversity, so I believe that the author could have been a little more informative in that regard. Decent article nonetheless.
Sony will have their lawyers ready for whatever may come their way. The ratio of defective consoles already plays in Sony's favor. The 1 year warranty will certainly be brought up by the lawyers to defend the $150 repair cost, but I don't see either suit holding up in court. Either way, it sucks for anyone's console to be effected in a negative fashion. The projection lamp on my tv just went out, so no gaming for me on my 60" 1080p for at least 3-4 days. $154 and I'll be as good as new....

After 200+ hours of thorough enjoyment, I sit amongst those most skilled as a Black Phantom Slayer at the top of the Nexus in the Patheon Room. I've slowed down my play because I want more people to get in the 200 soul level range. Getting a Platinum in this game required time and dedication on my part; however, there was a great sense of satisfaction that I got in doing so. D@mn Pure Chunkstones!!! Lol ;-)
That because this game was so limited at retail, many gamers used various online retailers to buy the game. Now I'm sure that someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but NPD does NOT count online retail in their monthly/yearly reports. DOA 4 is the one and only game that makes me miss having a 360. As you can see in my profile, I had gotten EVERY Achievement in that game. I used to travel to tournaments and everything.
