I also collect my games and will not purchase a game unless it contains cover art and a game manual. Some of my fondest manual memories (lol) are from the Resident Evil series. I loved when manuals detailed all/most characters, enemies, places of interest, and weapons. Also, it can be very insightful having a collection of a franchise and reading the manual in either numerical or chronological order (some sequels are actually prequels). Anyways, although most devs/pubs have been short-cha...
See the link at comment 1.5 for the facts. The Naughty Dog dev is wrong.
Good stuff. I was going to find that link and post it but you beat me to it. That Naughty Dog dev is wrong about that. The only 2 companies in the U.S. that tracks all retailers and sells for Playstation products are Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. and the Internal Revenue Service.
*Edit* The link I am referring to is the actual NPD person quoted as stating this. It was on N4G a while ago but I am having trouble locating it. The guy says the same thing but some people may ...
Thanks for the response. Glad that there can be civil debates on here. I think that you are missing the points in my arguments. We are talking about the games not the developers. Yes you are right, Ninja Theory and Insomniac are independent developers that have done exclusive games on the PS3. But the exclusive games that they made are OWNED by SONY. Sony just contracted them to create the game. Enslaved (next Ninja Theory game) is NOT owned by Sony and therefore is a multiplatform gam...
I agree with most of your comment; however, "I don't see anything wrong with microsoft having exclusives from 3rd parties, its no different than sony having Heavenly Sword exclusive..." This is the part that troubles me. Heavenly Sword is owned by Sony. *EDIT* To address your statement/question as to whether it is even worth devs porting their games to the PS3...I think that most devs look at the big picture of the future. I bought Bioshock on my PS3 (havent played it yet). I...
Yes, by pre-ordering Heavy Rain at Gamestop, you will receive the free DLC when you pick up the game on launch day. I encourage you to do so.
N/A technically stands for Not Applicable. Same meaning, just wanted to inform you in case you went on Jeopardy or something. :-)
On Topic: The wait is almost over for this game. I have been waiting almost 4 years to get my hands on this title. I am torn between downloading this demo tomorrow and just waiting for the full game to be released. I have been on a black out. Must...remain...disciplined!!
But you have NOTHING on Nariko.
The series was on other consoles. However, DOA Ultimate and DOA 3 were exclusive to the original Xbox while DOA 4 remains exclusive to the Xbox 360.
I have to disagree with you buddy. Step foot into a S or SS room and see how long a noob lasts in there. Button mashing can be done on any game, but when I advance parry with Lie Fang and someone loses the energy, they'll think again about spamming. It has a basic principle of rock (attack), paper (throw), scissors (counter), but advanced gameplay is truly hard to achieve. If u have an Xbox 360, try out my theory in an S/SS ranked room. You'll see what I mean. The match will be over befor...
I can't speak on Tekken 6, but Soul Caliber 4 is not in the same league as DOA 4 imho. I'm a high caliber fighter in both titles and DOA 4 is far superior to SC4 in just about every aspect: graphics, physics, frame rate (which is THE most important aspect in a fighting game), character balance, environments, lobby system, and so on. The only advantage that SC4 has is character customization. Again, this is just MY opinion.
Technically, an unannounced game cant lose exclusivity; but I get the sarcasm that you're using. It just always frustrated me when people would say that the PS3 lost exclusivity to MGS: Raising or *Insert Game*. It was never exclusive to begin with. Again, this comment isnt really towards you because I detect the sarcasm in your post. More for the backlash that you may receive from future posts. Be cool homie.
A VERY big deal for me man. The DOA (fighting) series has always been a great franchise. Although I have never been a fan of Itagaki's attitude, the man knew how to create a great fighting game. It was the only game that I got 1000 achievement points on the 360 when I owned it. May not say much, but I am a fan of the series. I hope that many DOA 2 Hardcore old school players get back into the series. I also hope that you and the rest of the N4g community get a chance to experience and en...
DOA4 is a great game on the Xbox 360 marred only by the poor design of the horrible d pad on the controller. That was the ONLY game that made me truly miss going back to the 360. However, the constant memory of system failures promptly brought me back to reality. The 3D fighting genre is the one area that I feel the PS3 is lacking in. Although VF5 may or may not be a quality title, its lack of online multiplayer prevented me from getting into the series. SC4 has been holding me over for ...
This game is therapeutic and relaxing all in one go. I try to suggest it to as many PS3 gamers as humanly possible. I advise any other fans to do the same thing. Support innovation and risk taking in the videogame industry.
If you guys never hear from me again, you'll know who is responsible. This site isn't run by Microsoft fans or Sony fans...(*Takes deep breathe) This site is run by the La-le-lu-le-lo!!
*Transmission is cut*
Let me start out by saying that I have been anticipating Heavy Rain since 2006. It is my most anticipated game ever. With that being said, I understand that some people may not agree with me; and even may see the game as uninteresting for whatever reason. What I don't understand about you is that you are in EVERY recent Heavy Rain article stating your disgust for the game. If the game does not interest you and you hate it so much, why do you visit Heavy Rain articles? I'm not trying to flame ...
& touche...right back at cha!! ;-)
I love a good whodunnit. Not to mention, it can get me ready for Heavy Rain. The trailer looks pretty funny and interesting. Lucky Europeans!!
I think a knife battle between him and Krauser (Resident Evil 4 fame) would be tight as h3ll. Krauser should make the cut imo. Oh the fond memories of RE4!!
