That sucks this was the game I was really looking forward to this year. Considering the rest of Microsoft's lineup for 2016 its not all doom and gloom. There is plenty for me to play this year.
When the original xbox came out I pretty much stopped playing the PS2 completely. Since then I haven't played much of the PS3 and PS4 even though I have them. If a Kingdom Hearts remake was released on the Xbox One I would buy it. If it were to be released on the Xbox One I would be more interested in Kingdom Hearts 3.
I bought an Xbox One day one. It wouldn't bother me if they released a more powerful version next year. I would buy it day one. I'm also a PC gamer so upgrading isn't a new concept. For my PC I usually get a new video card every two to three years. I get a new cell phone roughly every two years. I would have no problem buying a new console every 3 years
I'll get it. I never got a chance to finish FFIX. I was at the last boss back in 2001 before I joined the Air Force. I never went back and finished it.
Depends on what is meant by 4k. Its possible for them to get a new scaler and output at 4k. But there is no way the PS4 and XB1 will render games natively at 4k and have the framerate and visuals of the current games now. If anything the 4k will used be more for video then gaming on the current hardware.
I know I'm in the minority but I actually didn't mind the xbox one reveal. My only real complaint was the idea of a 24 hour check-in online to be able to play offline.
The biggest thing that interested me was the family game sharing. To be able to share my games with up to 10 people was very appealing to me. Granted I like buying used games to save money but I would rather buy it new if gave me the option to have my family be able to play it as well and online.
I want to be able to travel and explore. That has been my biggest complaint with Final Fantasy since X. I don't mind a linear story. But I don't like when the world is linear and on rails.
If the zones can be explored like an open world then I'll be ok.
If its anything like Final Fantasy X or XIII where you can only go back and fourth between zones til the end then I'll be disappointed.
As an xbox gamer it doesn't really bother me all that much. Since the original xbox my interest of japanese games have decreased alot over the years. At this point if I was Microsoft I would say fuck the japanese market and focus on the rest of the world. They've shown that they only support their own brands which is perfectly fine. Also the japanese market isn't what it was 15 years ago. I would expect Microsoft to focus more the on the south american market and then japanese.
I personally found the story and overall experience of New Vegas boring. Especially the main story. The only thing I liked better in New Vegas compared to 3 was crafting and companions. Other then that I do rank 3 and 4 above New Vegas as a whole.
Micrsoft shouldn't really be worried, their console is still selling well. If success was based solely on the sales comparison of your competitor then they should would be worried. The success is not judged by how you stack against your competitors. If Samsung sells more TVs then Vizio or LG that doesn't mean those companies weren't successful.
Hell the Wii outsold the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but most people wouldn't consider those consoles are failure.
I'm ok with $180 if its 3 games worth of content.
I wonder if its for digital PS2 versions to emulated or an HD collection. I'll totally buy it if its remastered collection of all the Onimusha games.
I think its a way to deflect attention. I understand they probably still have their plates full with the xbox 360 backwards compatibility. They have the source code and the assets. They said they're essentially running the Xbox 360 OS on a Virtual machine on the xbox one. I don't how they couldn't do the same with the original xbox.
The one thing I think that could be the problem is the optical drive. I don't know if the optical drive could in the Xbox One can...
Dark Cloud and Onimusha
It does take alittle while to get the hang of it. I would also say get all the DLC for it. They enhance the game alot. Its a nice amount of content. Its not just some skins and or a mission or two.
I agree. I didn't think they could have it be playable. The fact that its playable and offers a pretty good experience is just amazing to me.
Thank god. I hated the gesture controls, atleast the option to not turn them off.
When you have people that move their hands when the talk it would activate and select shit I didn't want.
I thought backwards compatibility would be possible through emulation. But I didn't think the xbox one could emulate the 360 and it have playable framerates. The fact it can do its playable is the shocker to me.
I personally don't care. I have both consoles. I've compared several games on them between 900p and 1080p. The differences are so minor. If anything in most cases the lower resolution (900p) tends to have more consistent frame rate.
I've been getting my 3rd party games on the XB1 knowing that they're lower resolution the the PS4 version. I also like the XB1 controller more so that is more important to me then extra "Ps".
I loved it. I thought what content that was there was great. My biggest issue was there wasn't enough. I thought it needed player generated content, like maps and custom games.
