Here is my problem with the price increase.
If the excuse for MTX and other monetization practices was that games are more expensive to make and the price for then is too low then why would they increase the price and continue to keep monetization in place?
The answer is simple. More money. The answer is not that they need more money to cover the costs of development but that they simply want more money.

depends on the performance on your current console.
If it can do 1080p at steady good framerate then the overall experience will be the same regardless.
But given the option of course it would be better on the ps5...im thinking especially about the load times.
The biggest problem I have with all these is actually the way in which other opinions are displayed.
If one disagrees with something the media grabs it and says it's a backlash or outrage. As far as I can see it's neither.

It all depends on what they are doing.
Are they adding predatory mtx's, paywalls, and other forms of BS? Are they gender swapping beloved characters or changning ethnicities?
Do we allow them to pretend we're stupid and not complain about anything at all?
Game developers make money off creating products that people like...it behooves them to be aware of what people will like otherwise they make games nobo...

Actually it is precisely in games where it is extremely important what character models look like.
I personally liked that the actor looked nothing like insomniacs creation.
It does take away.
Those of us who played the regular version grew attached or at the very least comfortable with the new face of spiderman for the games.
There is a connection people make and a judgment that is made. The judgement based on the audience response was that this was a good spiderman.
However, now they have to face the reality that they decided to change the look of spiderman entirely in order to...something something.
I loved bethesda games but it's been terribly long since skyrim or fallout4 so we shall see.
By the time starfield or the next elder scrolls come out the gaming industry will have moved decade or more into the future.

In the context of video games "delivering" means to deliver something new and well done. They already delivered BC this gen and had announced its continuation into next gen. They cant deliver the same thing a second time. Its not like they said they would try to have BC next gen.

Well Im pretty sure Sony is content with getting all those jrpgs and rpgsalready from other developers...there is no shortage of them....
Single player experiences on the other hand is much more needed in the industry.
I'm glad they'll appreciate my $1 for the first month...that's all it will take for me to play their games near the end of next gen.
For a grand you get a very good PC.
I build my own and can guarantee that.
If you want overkill that's when you go higher.
For 1,500 you can guarantee yourself a gaming pc that will last 2-3 console generations. Longer if you don't mind bringing settings down like resolution.
It's not just performance that is better on pc but the deals for pc games are usually better.
